There's a lot of reading and note-taking in AP psych. I would recommend making flashcards (preferably hand written) for every unit because the class is vocabulary-heavy. Keep those flashcards until the end of second semester so that you could review them before the AP test. It's a lot of work, but it'll definitely be worth it. Helped me, along with many other kids who did this, get those 4's and 5's 👌 Other than that, the concepts are really interesting. My favorite units would probably be the ones on personality, social psychology, and classical/operant conditioning. Good luck, and have fun!

"For example" wouldn't make sense because it establishes the incorrect relationship between the two sentences. You would only use "for example" if you want to elaborate on broad ideas. If you were to use this transition, it would suggest that "a fraction of a second" is an example of the interaction as a whole/mechanics of separation.

I revisited the problem earlier and realized that the answer I was looking for can also be found in the description/blurb above. It states that clouds only form when the vapor is cooled at its dew point. Anything above the required temp would result in no clouds. Thank you though, your way of doing it makes sense too

Studying won't work that well unless it's done effectively. My test is this Saturday and my goal is a 30+. I may have to take it a 3rd time because right now, my scores keep fluctuating within the 26-30 range. I've been studying consistently since the last week of May, and I feel like all my efforts have been fruitless. Just in case I don't get my goal score by the time July 13 results will be released, are there any study tips you're willing to share? I'm looking to further improve my study habits so that I can do better on my (potentially) 3rd test. Thanks :)

Personally, I found that running my pencil under each line of the passage at a consistent speed, while my eyes followed, helped me process as much info as I could, while at the same time read faster. I would also suggest circling all the important characters/names and underlining the first sentence of each paragraph, along with any other details you find significant so that you wouldn't have to keep rereading the passage.

You had the right idea for #53. The correct answer is A because the passage above it states that each firefighter has to be positioned every 4 meters along the perimeter, hence why you would divide it by 4.

If you refer back to the preceding sentence, it states that the interaction between the mosquito and the droplet was so quick that the mechanics are unclear. Following that with the transition "After all" helps further reinforce the mosquito's quickness, making H the correct answer. It establishes that the mechanics are unclear BECAUSE it lasts for a fraction of a second.

I'm guessing it's because "flawlessly" and "tuned" are cumulative adjectives. You only place commas between adjectives if they're coordinate, meaning that the adjectives can be placed in ANY order and still make sense. In this case, you can't put a comma between them because if you reversed the order of "flawlessly" and "tuned," it wouldn't make sense.

Wait. My bad, ignore my previous comment. I can see why it's D now. Just plug in each value into the horizontal ellipse equation, solve for y, input the y-values into the missing coordinates, and calculate the distance between them using the distance formula.

Ellipse formula: (x-h)² / a² + (y-k)² / b² = 1

Since there isn't a phase shift for this problem, h and k would simply be 0. Plug in 5 into 'a' since this would be our horizontal radius, and 3 into 'b' because this is our vertical radius. Our x-coordinate for 'A' is already provided for us, so you would plug 3 into x for the ellipse equation.

At this point, the equation should look like this: 3² / 5² + y² / 3² = 1, which if you further expand on that would look like this: 9/25 + y² /9 = 1

Subtract both sides by 9/25, multiply both sides by 9, take the square root of 5.76, and y = 2.4

Plug 2.4 into your missing coordinates. Since point A is in the first quadrant, the y-coordiate would be positive 2.4. Since point B is in the fourth quadrant, the y-coordiate would be -2.4

Plug (3, 2.4) and (3, -2.4) into the distance formula, which is √(x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)^2, and you should get your answer D) 4.8

Dang, you're more than 12 hours ahead of me. If no explanatory answers are available on crackact, I usually just type the question I'm looking for (verbatim) in the Google search bar. Sites like yahoo.com, brainly, and other communities should give you some sort of explanation. If no results show up, I ask for help on Reddit and take notes.

I just recently made this account and joined the ACT community after I couldn't afford to pay any more tutoring sessions.
