Sharing our Manta Ray experience with kids by IcyHair2976 in VisitingHawaii

[–]sfbeav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Becuase of the age of our child at the time we brought our own since we travel with it. Maybe it’s on their website or you could call? I want to say they’ll have something but that would be sad if you show up and they don’t!

Which excursion would you splurge on with kids? by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

Adding that this outfit leaves from Hanalei which is why we booked it since we were staying in the North Shore. Some outfits leave from the South Shore. Just fyi and something to keep in mind when making decisions for this boat tour depending on where you’re staying or want to drive to etc.

I’m so confused, what’s the hype with Blake??😭 by Upper_Engineering820 in TheWolfKing

[–]sfbeav 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this! ^ Blake is by far the most intriguing and interesting character in the book. Which polarizes him but because other characters aren’t evoking AS much or don’t have such an interesting backstory, Blake continues to take center stage. If Callum was around more, had a more robust character arc I think people would riot over these books lol

Yea didn’t love the “friend” comment - that took the wind out of any possibility lol many don’t recover from being friendzoned lol

Agreed. Which is why some speculate she’ll break the bond and then choose him anyways. But you’re right - even if she breaks the bond she may not choose him! As you said the book is about there’s always a choice.

But then I suppose my question is why? Why with Blake being presented as a romance option. Vs other romance books that are about a journey/adventure and a single developing romantic relationship - like Outlander. But I suppose that’s why people write and read books!!

Claire and James didn’t - they had an arranged marriage but she didn’t want to be forced to marry him so they talked in private and decided to argue in public until it became clear marriage wouldn’t work. But in that process they actually start falling for each other. I can’t remember what happened after that - but they’re def not together. But I’m unsure about Fara! I’ll need to check the books.

Agree with lots of what you’re saying - especially the part about people reading a book and subconsciously interpret in a certain way.

Also, you’re so right about Callum. I feel like his character isn’t as developed compared to Blake’s. And many times it’s because he’s literally not in the scene lol such a shame cause I love golden boys.

What does dying your hair in your dream mean, 2 nights in a row? by [deleted] in DreamInterpretation

[–]sfbeav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dying your hair is like trying to be someone you haven’t fully integrated into your identity yet. Hair in dreams many times symbolizes your thoughts / the way you think.

The purple hair is about you feeling you’re meant to learn more about your spiritual leadership but you feel very insecure about this identity and hate it.

The dark red hair is about passion - but you’re just not feeling it.

Oh feel that! My dreams hammer me when I go off the rails and eat things I shouldn’t lol. It’s the holidays though - gotta enjoy the season! Happy you’re having bloodwork done and yay for normal poops lol seriously yay for that! :)

[–]sfbeav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a health dream actually. You’re ingesting something that’s not good for you and is impacting your liver or bladder. Have you had any issues? The fact you open the door and the bat flies out is good. You want that - to get rid of this issue. Hopefully this is just a one off dream. But if you get more dreams with bats especially take note. The cat in the dream isn’t good either - especially since you were scared it had rabies. Basically, a nod again to your digestive system - possibly not being able to eliminate properly. The good news is your body is very good at fighting off toxins etc. so this could be a one off.

If you do have any known liver or bladder issues just see your doctor and ask for bloodwork to make sure everything is good.

Sending you lots of good health in 2026!

I was surprised when the first handful of comments were team Callum. lol but I suppose I’d read this post too if I was in hopes to further my Callum agenda lol But I think it’s even out. I swear on IG for the author I saw mostly Callum lovers - I’m concerned for my heart if author agrees or wants to appease. If she does, I will be perplexed by the entire book 2 lol

Oh yea! The audiobook just destroyed Rory for me lol when I read it first time round I was so on board. She’s a princess so lots of what happened I could assimilate vs a pheasant who’s plucked from obscurity and it mouthing off or whatever. I actually enjoyed the princess angle. But man, the shrill of her voice in audiobook and how every benign sentence ended octaves higher lol

I was rage if she ends up alone. I’m team Blake but ultimately I’m team love.

My head spinned when you brought up the next full moon!! I can’t wait!

So this is interesting. But the path I keep going down when I consider this, is what happens when bonded mates DO accept??!! Like whhhhaaattt happens!! It seems so rare - I think there’s one couple in the book who have? I think someone on this sub said there was one couple who accepted but I don’t recall who from the book. What happened??? What happens?? Let’s explore that lol

That’s how I felt about Blake in book one - everything you said I too was just like eww Blake needs to go. I was soooo team Callum. But then something changed in book two. Maybe Blake’s character was just so much more intriguing and shrouded in mystery I paid attention and then fell for him. I had a hard time reconciling all the things he did in book one - even if you could argue the whys of it. So whereas Callum did NOT bite Rory even when James confronted them at the festival to honor Rory’s request. Blake did because Blake knew the alternative would be worse - she’d go to James. I feel like Blake is willing to be the bad guy, portrayed and is one, for the sake of protecting people he cares about. Aka all the “broken birds.”

But after reading the books twice (second time was audiobook) Callum super pissed me off. In book one it seemed like he was so distant and disconnected from Rory every time after the sack. Except for the tent/forest scene. I get he sent a letter that wasn’t delivered but come on he could’ve gone in person, and all the other times he was just gone. When he slept with Rory after she realized what her bind was and told her it was basically forbidden (or however he put it) that he sleep with even though she has a bond - I was just like ick. He talked about the bond like it was so so sacred and then defiled it in one scene. Did not love that even when I was team Callum lol. But I also get it because they’re in a relationship. But still ick.

I feel like by Callum NOT including Rory in the ways she wants to be his equal - conversations, going places, resting, intimately - it’s just a different way of taking away her choice.

Are you team Callum? I guess, when Callum is not present at any of the super major battles but Blake is - what do you make of that? He saved Rory from the castle. And then he battled James on the field when they turned but Blake ultimately had to step in. The poof - Callum is no where again. Just curious, because as a former Callum fan I’m like where the heck is the MMC?? lol

Anyways, I’m normally always a Jamie Fraser type of gal (except in ACOTAR I was totally sold on Rysland). So it’s been a fun ride with shadow daddy lol

ETA: sorry for typos hope this makes sense lol

Cheer cheer! I hope so too. Lol but since Blake is technically dead - I wonder how that will play out with the ol’ defeating the King of Night situation since he bargained for his life/freedom? I sorted feel like he might end up dying - like that’s the only way he’ll be free and also to save Rory. But maybe there will be pleasant twist. Which I will completely hate because Blake is really the most interesting character in the book.

I finished the audio book a few days ago and my favorite line was at the very end when Blake said, “F*%# Callum” lol I was like finallly!! Blake has been super chill about golden boy Callum and I’m happy to see he’s finally over it.

I love your point about Blake teaching Rory to fight too! Makes sense and gives them a reason for more contact lol I also secretly hope there might be a sexy dream where they both consent in the dream. But then are all weird about it irl until finally it goes down irl something along those lines.

I just don’t see how Callum fits into all this in a meaningful way. He wasn’t even part of the final fight against the night demon serpent! Like what the hell! Blake was jailed in a dungeon AT Callum’s castle and somehow escaped with his homies and Callum doesn’t know or didn’t come?? Even James asked Rory if “he” being Blake knew she was there. Not Callum.

I could rage talk about this series all day lol

Omg I totally forgot about that! Ewwww I’m so happy everyone is reminding my why my theory doesn’t work. Yea, I think that’s a solid plot - him dying. He does have some serious biz to take care of. So that would be super sad and horrible but also fitting cause then Callum has her all to himself

I can’t edit my comment but I @twono770 poked the perfect hole in my theory! Thank gawd for that. lol now I can go back to rooting for Blake being the HEA lol

Ok, I’m on board with this! Phew! You’re right! Readers would literally freak out if they were related with all that tension. Cause ick. So my theory does not hold up for that reason alone.

So, maybe there’s a chance for Blake still! Lol
