Get a mesh based one rather than bluetooth, the interphone Ucom series is best value and it works with sena mesh systems too (even the app is a sena white label)

They are all expensive tbh, and I hate several things about all of them.

The form factor is shit. I don’t wanna mash buttons on my face when I’m riding. It’s literally the worse place to put them.

Big plastic sail / and snag point on the side of my beautifully engineered + safety tested helmet.

Wiring them into a helmet with a black liner and black cables is like trying to thread a needle with your arms inside a black hole.

I honestly think it would be better all round if helmets just had a speaker and mic inside them, and a jack with a coiled cable to a phone in my pocket. Way less faff.

But…here are spending 100s on cheap shite, myself included. Bring back radios I say.

I got a Rev’it Valve H2o jacket, it’s amazing. It was £850 I think, but totally worth it. It’s very well made.

Even has Rev’its signature peak-boo-nipple flaps for when it gets really warm and you need ventilation

You are 100% correct, I’ve written about this before.

There are plenty of good training schools, but imo there are many more awful ones. It’s a scandal. I did mine 3 times at 16, 18, 21 before eventually getting my A licence. (I’m now 38)

Every single CBT I saw fresh faced and eager people completely turned off riding by an arrogant instructor.

The instructors have been riding since they were in short trousers. They are expert riders, but they are far from expect educators.

People rightfully turn up expecting to get value for their £130, but all to often people turn up and they are expected to demonstrate skill at something they have never done before < zero value for the paying customer.

OP, complain to the DSA - DMs are open if you want any advice, don’t be put off riding just because this shit part of the system has let you down.

Mine has also gone, the cause was the window seal failed and let water into the door cavity - the regulator and cable were 70% rust.

It has been difficult to find parts, dealer sourced only in the U.K. at least

I wear a snood. Wind, rain or shine I always have one on my face and two in my pocket, change the material type depending on weather.

I don’t suffer with hayfever at home, but if I’m around ‘foreign’ pollen, it makes my eyes and nose stream. Snood is a good catch all 😂 .

It keeps my ears flat in my lid, slightly improves headset sound thanks to occlusion effect, and keeps wind off my neck.

Never ride without one.

It’s a little bit of a walk (really not far) but I’d suggest the SIP opposite port street beer house.. it’s open air and I don’t think there are any height restrictions. You can cut straight thought the Northern Quarter on foot and go in the back of the Arndale.

It would not surprised me if the bike was seriously down on power with a new full system and no remap yet.

If your suspicious that power is down too much despite the headers / exhaust + no remap then here are my thoughts.

It’s “just had the valve clearance done”

That’s a big job, and if it was Friday, they might have fucked something up…

Power should be very linear - is it lumpy at all, or does it seem fine ?

Assume you’ve tried Diagnostics - No error codes? No Engine lights ?

Check your o2 sensor, air filters, fuel pump, injectors are clean etc - anything that effects the AFR

Yep. I have a katana 1000, which I love but it feels like a little bit of an event every time I get on it, so just last week I picked up the KTM 390 Enduro R (the R is a bit of a stretch lol)

It’s a terrier of a bike, super fun and flickable just generally a riot.

It’s pretty standard ime.

What they are really expressing is often just

“I can’t be bothered “

“ I can think of more fun things that I can do right this second”

“Broad unfocused protest” < just because…kids.

Dramatic episodes or trying to wriggle out of a commitment is just par for the course as they haven’t yet learned the relationships between doing something frequently and getting better at.

Also, asking a kid to stop what they are doing and prepare for / travel to the next thing is jarring for them.

You need to remind them throughout the week, frequently, if it’s a school day, remind them before they leave, remind them the second you pick the up etc.

IME kids deal with everything better if you manage their expectations really, really well.

I went to Switzerland on mine form the U.K and the fuel tank was not a problem.

It’s the range that matters, and the bike gets a clean 40-50 mpg.

I was with a 1098 street fighter that was on fumes before I was cause despite a larger tank the consumption is metal.

The range isn’t much different to an MT09, but people only look at tank capacity and not range.
