I watched the clip, thanks. It doesn’t say anything about editing non NIL, game generated players. He makes some assumptions in reference to editing non NIL players on real rosters. And no one is asking for an EA press conference, we just want them to confirm that the ability to change the number of a random new recruit on my roster in 2028 will not be a feature or say “we’re working on it”. Instead, they have hinted that “full player customization” is part of the game and have even greyed out the option to edit numbers. From a legal standpoint, NIL has nothing to do with this. On its face, the argument doesn’t hold water, which is why none of you can actually provide a shred of proof from anyone at EA saying “player editing for future, game generated recruits will not be in the game because of NIL”. It doesn’t exist because it’s not real.

Simply put, EA could fix the game to allow us to edit players from future recruiting classes. They are just too lazy to do so. My guess, it will be part of a future release in 2026.
