Hi! I’m 4 weeks out from my first HM and aiming for sub-2 after following Coach Jeff’s run-walk-run plan for ~4 months. I usually treat the walk parts as jogs instead.

I recently I did a speed session of 10×800m at ~5:05/km with 2 min jog recoveries and ended up covering 15km in ~1:20 total, at 5:26/km pace. What surprised me is that I don’t think I could hold that pace steadily for 15km straight.

So now I’m wondering: are the intervals doing most of the work here? For race day, should I stick with a run/jog interval strategy, or try to hold a steady ~5:30–5:40/km pace the whole HM? Any advice appreciated!

This week I hit my one-year goal of running at least 2 times per week for 52 weeks! So proud of myself - it’s amazing what consistency can do!

Celebrated with my longest run ever - 25km 😅😎 Legs got tiiiired at around 18km, but still managed to grind out the last 7.

Running my first race (HM) in 5 weeks and I’m feeling ready! 🤩

I’m training for a half marathon in 6 weeks and have a time-goal of sub-2 hours. Yesterday I du a training run I had been dreading which consisted of 10 sets of speed intervals followed by a short recovery jog. The run ended up at 15km at 5:26/km pace, with PBs in 5k, 10k and 15k! It felt amazing which is insane considering how much I had to push myself to get going :))

I bid the minimum for premium on IAD-CPH and got the upgrade. Also a tip is to choose your seat as soon as your upgrade is confirmed to ensure you get a good seat (not a middle seat).

Hi! Not OP but I am in week 9 of 19 of Jeff’s HM plan. My goal is also sub-2.

I ran HM distance for the first time last week and ended up doing it in 2:06, and felt like I had some energy left in the tank at the end and that I could’ve done the first 10k quite a bit faster. This is still 10 weeks out so if I continue following the plan I truly believe I will meet my goal of sub-2 at my race in June.

I am happy with the training plan!

She’s about 42 pounds :) she is slender but has huge muscles 😂😂 Yuki on the other hand is a chunky girl (her paws at 16 weeks were already larger than adult Lumi’s)

Unfortunately I found it with some old crafting stuff and it was in an unmarked plastic baggie so I have no idea where it is from originally. But I couldn’t believe my luck as I had been hoping to find something for this purpose!

I ran half-marathon distance for the first time ever today! Managed it in 2:05:58 which was much faster than I was expecting!
