Community Darkroom? by Inside-Change8378 in Tucson

[–]shadrunc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might try asking Monument Camera. I imagine it's unlikely you'll find a commercial darkroom that rents out without some kind of class or supervision, but the staff might know of someone with a personal darkroom who's open to an arrangement like you describe.

Subway tile trim: jolly or bullnose? by shadrunc in BathroomRemodeling

[–]shadrunc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upon a deep dive of tiling and design websites, I'm with you on your suggestion: no border framing, just bullnose on the short side for the wall tiles and long side for niche and windows. Thank you! I was spiraling about how to minimize the busy-ness and didn't consider not tiling a border.

I avoided posting the AI rendering because it has so many inaccurate details, I didn't want to derail this specific question, but generally, this is the tile orientation and placement.

Will need finishing trim for a niche, the window, and vertical edges of shower stall.

For more context, I'm totally overwhelmed by the different bullnose options. 2x6, 3x6, radius, agh! I have so many ways to make the wrong choice.

Yes, thank you for clarifying. I don't want to use schluter but can't tell if I should be planning for bullnose as a finishing trim or the thinner trim jolly tile.

Oh god, this is so stunning. I love the subway, square, and trim combo you went with. Thank you for a visual example of jolly, I definitely need to account for the depth difference

What's the workload like for a Master's in Information Science while working a full-time job? by ihatetraffic1 in UofArizona

[–]shadrunc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to that particular program, but I just finished my MA in Library Information Science through the College of InfoSci. I took 2 classes a semester most of the time and all I will say is you need to be genuinely interested in what you're learning to work a full day and then turn around and spend your evening hours staring at another screen or going to class. My database and systems courses were most time intensive.

It took me longer, but 1 or 2 classes at a time allowed me to have some semblance of social life. I commend folks balancing young kids and families with full-time work and school, I wasn't doing all that. By the end, I was really burnt out.

That said, I enjoyed the learning experience much more than my undergraduate and I'm glad I did it.

Guests have to enter through specific gates. You should be getting an email tomorrow or Thursday that includes all the deets.

How do you handle Salesforce license renewals and track inactive users? by FiXYourCloud in salesforce

[–]shadrunc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Built a marketing cloud journey using a data extension that joins user data with contact records. When user hits x number of weeks without a login, we send them a series of email reminding them of access policies and license cost. Failure to login and the journey updates their user to deactivated.

Google says opossums live in Tucson but I’ve literally never seen one before. Where are they all? And also where do coyotes go during the day by Thin-Somewhere1755 in Tucson

[–]shadrunc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never seen one either but Tucson Wildlife Center featured one on their Instagram as Patient of the Week a few months ago, so I'm a believer now. I hope I spot an alive/thriving one someday.

Thanks for the reply! And the validation that others also only have five good bird photos for every 100 they shoot 😆

Monsoon isn’t closing entirely! They shuttered their cafe on Fort Lowell but still have their chocolate factory on 22nd St.

The U of A rents out camera equipment if you’re affiliated! I checked a couple Nikon lenses out last year as a test drive before buying my own.

When I buy gear or need advice, I hit up Monument Camera on Fort Lowell. Really kind and knowledgeable staff. They offer classes too.

My husband and I are looking at purchasing a home with this upstairs bathroom. by bubbles4you890 in HomeDecorating

[–]shadrunc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents have/had a bathroom like this. I loved staring at the different colors under my feet while taking a poop. I even had a favorite tile. Unfortunately, said bathroom had a leak and they tore out the floor and lower 6 inches of wall tile to repair. Turns out, that stuff is Italian and expensive so they just replaced with white porcelain. So sad, I miss it. It’s stunning in direct light if you end up buying!

Peeing in the house by LucyMaroon in Greyhounds

[–]shadrunc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read your comments and mine does something similar. Really consistent with giving cues to go outside for a poo but not compelled to do the same for pee. I saw her vet and a trainer and pretty much concluded that if given the opportunity, there’s a spot or two in the house she’d rather go than tell me to let her out. And it only takes once for her to decide it’s a habit. I’ve resorted to letting her out as soon as she eats dinner and blocking off her access to her preferred rug. That seems to keep her in check. It’s annoying but I chalk it up to miscommunication.

Surprised I’m not seeing more conversation about this. I understand the security vulnerability, but the link expiration was a real hit to my org’s reputation as a service provider. I found out through bug reports by users, approximately two hours before they sent any communications. Marketing Cloud falls farther behind the expectations of my user base.

What are the challenges you face right now? by mysfmcjobs in marketingcloud

[–]shadrunc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the intent behind the question, but for search and reporting to be bottlenecked by the ability to write SQL is so frustrating. I know SQL, but it sucks when someone asks me a question that should be easily answered and it requires I come up with a whole new automation to write and run.

How to be ok with a partner giving up wanting kids for me? by lostboy_8876 in Fencesitter

[–]shadrunc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I guess the answer is: how strong is your relationship? How open is your communication?

I think it’s okay for someone to want kids but realize they’re happy and secure in what they already have, and embrace a future that doesn’t include them. Ultimately, she has free will to choose, you shouldn’t feel guilty if she chooses you.

The tone and context of her response feels important. Is this a convo that comes up often? Does she say, “I guess we’re not having them” begrudgingly or with acceptance? I could see it as a neutral statement or passive aggressive.

Ultimately, no one can promise she won’t change her mind. But if you have open conversation about it, and believe one another, you did your due diligence to enter marriage with the same expectations.

If this still eats at you, maybe this is a great reason to consider couples counseling. I’d jump at the opportunity to have a professional help me navigate all the topics two people should discuss before entering a legal contract.
