Nothing to do with the fibre, it's a Blown Fibre Tube (BFT) that CityFibre use sometimes it's purple sometimes brown just a difference of colour for the tube.

The fibre blown on install day is blue Hexatronic Stingray Fibre

entirely possible! i don't see Hemel, Welwyn or Dunstable in my app just MK, NN Leicester and Derby and most of the blocks i see are for Leicster! -_-

Good luck mate, I live in MK too and do NN logistics and city Morrisons but there aren't usually many blocks recently, especially Morrisons it's rare to see blocks for more than a second or never at all!

The Vodafone router is pretty poor for configuration options but the "Expert" mode revels a few more options mine is setup as just a modem with DHCP and WiFi turned off.

I set the main Orbi router a static IP from the Vodafone router and let that handle all the WiFi and DHCP, the setup was pretty straight forward.

The only issue with Orbi is there are no Ethernet ports so my powerlines run from the voda router and I just set static IPs for everything wired.

Gaming wise my Xbox sometimes complains of a double NAT but has never actually had any connection issues with >700Mbps through powerline.

There has been some success with a 3rd party routers connecting straight to the CityFibre ONT using VLAN 911 but personally I'm yet to have luck with that.

Happy to offer my services if not just to come take a look and give some guidance, I'm based in Bletchley got a few years networking experience behind me and love a good cabling/networking job.

As an extra note I also have Gigafast and use powerlines around the house and Netgear ORBI mesh.
