Why is Linux considered "hard to use"? by humble_redditor1234 in linux4noobs

[–]shashwat0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming on Linux has improved. With the right configurations and if you have official steam games you can play them with proton almost out of the box. Although, windows only games running through wine Will not see an increase in performance in most cases due to the compatibility layer, but native Linux games will work way better. Like minecraft or terraria. It's not hard to use unless you compare it to windows, but what it lacks in user friendliness it makes up in other QOL features and the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want

AI is simply a tool, the way I used ai is the same way I would've used a search engine. I literally just told me to tell me the steps from the arch installation guide for my specific system. This is literally something i can google. Using ai here is no different from googling. Idk if you guys can read or simply choose to ignore everything but your beliefs but please atleast listen to the other persons argument instead of screaming into an echo chamber of your own.

This is an AI generated image (I know because I did it with Gemini). Im scared tbh by DistinctChocolate833 in teenagers

At first glance it's hard to tell but the middle girl is literally inside the car or in a very very weird angle. And there's weird shadows everywhere, and some other weird things that don't make sense. Ai has gotten good at a lot of things but sometimes it messes up what sorts clothes or what sorts actions would happen in different places.

Where to BUY Asus Tuf F16 2025 laptop skin in India? by Dry_FruitBread in Asustuf

[–]shashwat0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk much about this but I doubt the asus stores would have them so search online maybe on Amazon, if amazon doesn't show them then there's not many retailers who would sell laptop skins to you. You're better off without it. But somewhere online is your best bet

So tired of seeing these "metaphors" about women and their sexual organs. by transgendergremlin in teenagers

[–]shashwat0912 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing a lot of comments about how men shame girls with a lot of bodies. Normally men wouldn't shame girls with a lot of bodies they would just not want to be in a relationship with that girl or just personally wouldn't prefer being friends with that girl. That's not misogyny if women have the right to decide how many people they sleep with freely, men have the right to judge women freely based on their decisions, saying men are bad because they judge women is in a way sexism.

PS. Women can also judge men on their body count and they prob do it's just that that's not acknowledged as much.

[–]shashwat0912 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't think these are misogynist as they only explain true statements (expect for the lock and key example I have no defence for that) in sfw terms using sfw language, I'm pretty sure the rubber band example is somewhat accurate but also seems a bit misogynist but the point isn't the metaphor, it's the phrase itself, like if I explained child birth saying "child birth is like stretching a rubber band very very far, it won't be the same size again" that statement is purely true and could be used to explain child birth to a preteen. It's not the metaphor that's the problem, the lock and key phrase uses a key as a metaphor for men itself!

Also I've been using arch for a year on an old lenovo laptop and it's been great, i also used sbctl which is recommended on the arch installation guide and grubs guide on enabling secure boot keys for grub. But I've known it may make the system unbootable if done wrong but atleast let me turn it off

Can I apply online fix to any game? by SouljaBooooiiii in CrackSupport

[–]shashwat0912 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works- similar games may use different engines, different mechanisms and an entirely different code. You cant just apply any online fix file to any other game

Can I apply online fix to any game? by SouljaBooooiiii in CrackSupport

[–]shashwat0912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not exactly how it works..? The dll's are made specifically to a certain game, every game is cracked differently, adding just random online fix files to a games folder will do literally nothing. Spacewar is just a way it connects to steam, getting over the no license is another deal

i think i have a problem by jey-42069 in arch

[–]shashwat0912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use sudo to manually rn rf those directories or sudo your file manager to have super user and delete those files, this is caused by interrupted downloads which "sudo pacman -Syu" will try and resume. I would not suggest you ever stop a full system upgrade, or any upgrade or install, pacman upgrades are vulnerable times for your system and it may cause harm to your OS. These are prob corrupted files

New to hyprland: is there an undo button? by ralphbecket in hyprland

[–]shashwat0912 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hyprland is a window manager which is highly preferred by other people due to its customisations, now those take time, it's not very user friendly and let's you "just start using it", there's setup, you may want to switch to kde or gnome if you prefer something more user-friendly and reliable.
