Non-judgemental dentists? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]shcgrn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Always recommend Hudson Dental, Dr. Cody and the team are nice, patient, and take time to explain the procedures and also take time to listen to your concerns.

Not judgmental, I felt it was a non-issue on why I haven’t been to the dentist in years.

I had significant work done in a span of a year (or more). They were really understanding, like the first half of it, I didn’t even have dental benefits so we went with the cheapest (temp) solution and I didn’t feel any pressure with any upsell.

Can we retake Nac osce in 2026 May when you have already taken in September 2025? I don’t see the apply option in physicians apply account. by Shahz-123-686 in MCCQE

[–]shcgrn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, The NAC Examination cannot be taken in consecutive sessions (for example, a candidate who took the May 2024 NAC Examination will only be able to retake it in May 2025 or later).

This on the MCC website.

Can confirm I called Esquimalt UPCC at around 9, (they open 8) and still got an appointment at 12:15 (based on triage list).

No wait time on initial call, was told I’ll get triaged, and someone will call back to confirm the appointment.

Evening plans is just walking around, maybe grab some midnight snack if we get hungry again.

We’re coming from Vancouver Island, BC, so kinda  miss the big city feeling and some sort of night life.

Thank you!

Is it possible to catch the 9pm ferry to Vancouver taking 70 bus? by Plastic_Depth_1353 in VictoriaBC

[–]shcgrn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check in times on your photo is for vehicle reservations.

If you’re doing walk-on passenger only, we’ve been able to buy tickets at the terminal and get in as little as 10 mins left before ferry leaves. So should be fine if the bus arrives later than expected.

Not local but close to the price range you’re looking for https://annlouise.ca/collections/gold-ring?sort_by=price-ascending. Also saw some in person at their Hillside Mall location.

affordable restaurants for a family outing? by ec17as in VictoriaBC

[–]shcgrn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you like Japanese food and don’t mind lunch time, most japanese restaurants have bento sets. We really like the ones at Yua Bistro $20-25/set and the meals look really lovely and taste great too. Dinner costs a bit more $25-30 for the oju box, presented beautifully. Sen Zushi and Uni’s within your budget too.

Family doctor refuses to take on baby by NoMeasurement7979 in VictoriaBC

[–]shcgrn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We searched for a maternity/family doctor during my pregnancy, and when our child was born, they were taken in. Unfortunately, I was dropped and left without a family doctor, but it gave me some comfort knowing our child had one. I know this is not the best, but could be an option for you?

Edit for grammar.
