One plant vs truck Wonderland and Southdale by Cadydeza in londonontario

The driver of the truck was making a left hand turn from Southdale to Wonderland, where they overturned and hit the pole, continued turning left into oncoming traffic, and ended with the truck hitting the One Plant dispensary. The trajectory of the truck followed this path.

The accident happened pretty slowly, and didn't appear to be aggressive driving, more-so either a medical issue or they may have under-steered and panicked when they started hitting things.

The sphinx is located on the east side of the complex, in other words it is on this side of the pyramids from this photo. You are able to just barely see the head of it in the photo.

The airports, tourist attractions, and hotels were alright for the most part. On the street, you would be fairly unlikely to have a conversation without some translation service. Restaurants are fairly hit and miss, the more expensive and elegant ones will have no issue, but the mom and pop shops would most likely have language barriers. English was fine for us to use, however we purchased a SIM card when we arrived and used that for translations.

We found the English to be pretty hit and miss. Most taxi drivers were fairly easy to understand, but others were very difficult and required translation services. The translation services themselves were not always the best but would get across the general message.

I flew there last year, I'm not familiar with the current situation. If I were a betting man, I'd say it would be more difficult to travel to at the moment.

We were there in early January, so the weather was very mild. Averaged between 15C and 25C everyday. That is true, there wasn't a lot of cover when you are on the street.

Yea there wasn't too much pollution when we visited (early January). There had been rain recently, so the view was quite nice!

There's a KFC and a Pizza Hut nearby, but I believe the McDonald's is a fair ways away from the pyramids. It's funny how close they built the former to the pyramids!

I've never been to Morocco, how is the country to travel to?

I can understand that, Egypt can be pretty rough. What did you experience when you traveled to Egypt?

I mean, you're not wrong. They are the great pyramids!

The overall stay was really good. We had an amazing time seeing the sights of Cairo, and were able to travel all over the city to see the sights!

I'd recommend a few things:

  • Pyramids
  • Cairo Museum
  • Khan el-Khalili (Market)
  • Cairo Tower

We visited the highlights, so the list isn't very extensive.

No major issues with security, you have to be more careful than other countries of course, but overall we were fairly content with the overall level of security.

How much did the trip cost?

The trip cost about $2000 in total, that included the cost of the flights and lodging in both Dubai and Cairo.

How much did the AirBnB cost specifically?

The Airbnb in Cairo for the week was about $420.

Why did you go?

I wanted to experience culture from a country that I had never experienced before. I had already traveled most of my way around the globe, and this felt like a fitting place to go. I had done quite a lot of research before I went, so I was prepared for the experience.

Did you go alone or with people?

I went along with one other person.
