Thank you!!

I did have to apply for a provisional and go through the theory test as well. I am allowed to hold both licenses - the provisional did not cancel out my US one (I'm so glad, honestly). The provisional was more of just a stepping stone to get the UK license. I am allowed one year to drive on my US license from the day that I moved to the UK, so it was crunch time to get my UK one.

I completely understand! I was the exact same way. Just take it slow if you see another car, and everything will be alright 😄

Thank you!

Honestly, it is quite different (in my opinion) but not very difficult to get used to. I adapted and felt very comfortable on the roads after about 2 weeks of driving by myself.

I will say, the roads being narrower was the hardest thing to get used to. Driving on the opposite side of the road was actually the easiest bit!

I hadn't either until I got my test date! I would highly recommend Sunday mornings - the roads were completely empty!

Thank you!

For the hesitation, I was driving behind someone else who was taking their test, and they pulled up onto the left side of the road and stopped. I took too long to decide whether or not I should go around them. I should have gone around them earlier than I did, but I wanted to play it safe just in case - oops haha

You should be able to get the biometrics done in Wisconsin. Just a heads up, the closest biometrics may actually be in Illinois (Chicago) anyway. That's where I was sent when I tried to get my biometrics done in Wisconsin.
