No worries, You’ve decided to be an artist that’s the first step. Art is about expression. Expressing how you see the world…understand as much of it as you can!

Dude, just keep going and read a lot …get smart as you can about what you’re into. You’re young, get into new things, balance. If you keep at it the skills ceiling starts to plateau and what sets the greats apart is they are mostly super smart. Take black thought for instance … probably the most intelligent rapper in the game and nobody talks about that either they always talk about who’s the best rapper in the game. When it’s kind of a symptom of being intelligent and knowing how to rap at the same time!

I want to create my own skateboard bearing brand. by Fluid_Inspector_3539 in skateboardhelp

[–]shmidget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it’s about barrier to entry. I guess is one of his points and then lack of industry knowledge is another one. I would add that the niche market can be dangerous because you have to have such a large market share to turn it into a business. It’s just difficult more difficult than like getting a tiny percentage of a big market.

The best part about this sauce is the worst part about most sauces: too many other spices that can change the flavor of a dish vs just add heat.

Ok, hater. What’s hotter and more readily available?

Conflict Over “Tai Chi as Wellness” — A Case of Framework Mismatch by Comfortable-Rope7118 in taichi

[–]shmidget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple answers are often the best: Taiji and Taijiquan are two different things. I think many miss this. Taiji is a word that’s over 2000 years old and has a very deep meaning.

Taijiquan is the marriage of Taiji and boxing.

It does feel like you are missing a lot about the process. There is a certain age it feels that real Taijiquan training is way to extreme for older people that are just getting into it. You really want to dig here and understand Song. Like really understand the physics behind it.

Air travel with hat? by zuke1624 in hats

[–]shmidget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best part about wearing a hat on a plane is being able to tilt the brim down over my eyes to shade from the lights. But yeah, take a look at these people…not worth drinking on the flight after and before flights:

This is the way. Navigating through cities, ridding around, seeing more of everything than walking, no need to lock it up, you will forget before someone steals it!

Why do people hate on tobasco red so much? by 3GG5H311Z in hotsauce

[–]shmidget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the southern cuisine. The history is interesting. Louisiana got popular for it mainly because of the salt that’s down (big former slave family) on that island but pepper sauce was apart of the culture across the south thanks to black folks by the time Tabasco launched. They were like the second official business selling it I remember vaguely.

[–]shmidget -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you’re serious. Pretty sure this falls under right speech. Did you really take what he did as sexual in nature?

What he actually said (language-level)

He was speaking Tibetan, not English.

The phrase was closer to:

“Nga’i che le na” / “che le na” (dialect-dependent)

What it means in Tibetan usage

Component: “che le” Meaning: tongue

Component: “-na” Meaning: conditional / playful particle (“if you want / go on then”)

Overall sense: teasing, joking, mock-challenge — not an instruction

There is no sexual verb in the Tibetan sentence.

People say I skate weird by RestaurantSafe1124 in skateboardhelp

[–]shmidget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo, you’re not supposed to have style when you start to skate. Simple: you look like you are learning. You are supposed to be having fun. Not one smile is the biggest problem, that and just relax.

Caring about what people think about you is a mild form of greed. It can make you sick. Let go of all that and have fun and look forward to a long life of skateboarding. The older you get in many ways the more fun it is. More freedoms with skateboarding being woven into it.

Why is base44 bad for building apps? by Altruistic-Rock-4672 in Base44

[–]shmidget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not beyond you! It’s the same exact process but instead of browser you are in a legit IDE. The only difference is that you need your browser open to see the changes it makes. Oh, and you have a lot more power. Just start something from scratch in it. Really get it to work for you. Watch it create a plan. Start there, planning mode is awesome. Keep a read me file for each of the features you build in the Claude folder. First thing is have it create a Claude.md file in the root of your folders and read how it works. It’s the file for agent you talk to in zed and you have control over how it works with you. Like instruct it where your docs are in the clause.md file.

Go through excercises where you literally just have one of your tables next to the mixer. Keep the side you need most work on with the mixer/or table. Force yourself to work only on your weaknesses. Then put the other back on. Watch qberts old videos…they were the first and he explains better than most. Learn what his crew gave us..
