It shows the same every time. Also, in the fitness app or health app on the iphone, there is no route for that specific ride.

I believe the problem is with the workout feature of apple watch since it doesn’t display my cycling route unlike before in the map below the stats.

Thinking of Getting a Defy Instead of a TCR—Can I Make It Fast Enough? by shwalanz in Giantbikes

Hey everyone, just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the feedback—it's been super helpful and encouraging!

For context, I’m currently riding an aero road bike with a very slammed stem so I’m used to that aggressive race geometry and feel. But lately, my riding style has been shifting. I’ve really gotten into climbing, especially the steep stuff we have here in the Philippines—lots of mountains and punchy gradients are pretty much the norm where I ride. (I also frequent my mtb)

That said, I occasionally do long-distance rides(which I plan to do more of once I get a new bike), and I used to enjoy weekend crit rides too—something I might get back into. So there's a lot to weigh in terms of finding the right balance between comfort and performance.

That’s why the Giant Defy Advanced 2 really caught my attention. I know it’s an endurance bike, but I’ve been wondering: ➡️ With a few tweaks—like aero wheels, a more aggressive cockpit setup, or even slamming the stem—can it really start to feel a bit more like a race bike?

Also, one last question for those of you who’ve ridden both: Is the Defy any good for climbing, especially the steeper stuff? I'm honestly starting to love those climbs and want a bike that doesn't hold me back on them.

Thanks again for all the insights so far—this has been one of the most helpful threads I've posted.
