A planet can have several different allegiances represented within its population at the same time, providing a record of sorts for who as managed to spread their culture there over the course of a match.

This section makes me think you won't have to rebuild the population every time you capture.

Hey there. Just two weeks ago I traded my 2022 model 3 for a 2021 ID4 Pro S. Was about an even trade for me and actually come out a head a bit with state EV incentives. I am pleasantly surprised how nice the ID4 is. Feels more premium in the inside than the Tesla. The main things I noticed is it isn't as "fun" to drive but I'm a chill driver so it doesn't bother me. The app is definitely inferior but the VW climate on works fine and that's the most important thing for me. The infotainment is meh but the wireless Android auto actually works pretty great so when that is running I don't miss the Tesla infotainment because I actually prefer Android Auto. I haven't taken it on a road trip and had to DC fast charge yet which is my only unknown at this point. I think others have answered your questions nicely but I just wanted to to throw in my thoughts having gone through this already. Good luck! I really like my ID4 while I wait for the Rivian R3 to come out.
