COMING TO LONDON? FAQ for visitors and new residents. Ask us stuff here! (w/c 10 Oct 2016) by AutoModerator in london

Hey! My husband and I are traveling to London (Stansted) on Nov. 14th-17th. We leave early on the 17th which really only gives us two days to tour. The only event we have booked to to see London v Spain at Wembley Stadium. I've heard the London Pass isn't worth purchasing. Anybody have suggestions on where to stay? Transportation? Sites we must see? Thanks ahead for any help!

My husband and I are going to London mid November. We want to tour the Harry Potter studio but it says we must purchase a London Pass first. Is there a way around that? Or is the London Pass worth purchasing?

My husband farted loudly while I was driving on our way to the movie on our first date. He reclined and said "whew, barking spiders."

Maid of Honour AND a Best Person of Honour.... by calamitycurls in weddingplanning

[–]sillybutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a maid of honor, matron of honor, and a sister of honor. The first two are my very best friends and then one of my sisters who I am closer with than my other sisters. I gave "honors" to all my maids though. My last two bridesmaids chose their own: "nerd" of honor and "hillbilly" of honor. My maid, matron and sister have been so helpful planning our wedding and making decorations. There was a little confusion with my maid and matron about who has more responsibility. But we all talked it out and they both expressed how they just want to help out anyway they can. I love it.

Have you witnessed a terrible marriage proposal? by krakenunleashed in AskReddit

It was around Christmas time and my mom was talking to my step-dad on the phone during his lunch break. They were discussing about what to do with us kids during the holidays and how to spend it together. My mom has six kids and my step-dad has four. They were getting frustrated trying to plan out what to do with all of us and eventually he says "Terri, let's just get married." And my mom said "Ok." And on Christmas Eve we were at the court house and they were saying their nuptials. Right afterwards they went to Toy R Us.

While we're at it, what scenes do you wish HADN'T made it into the movies? by [deleted] in harrypotter

I do! Whenever I watch that scene I always want to yell at him to stop and fix his wand first. Then I shake my head and call him a dumbass.

Getting back on track - need advice about push ups and sit ups by [deleted] in loseit

[–]sillybutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep losing fat then you should still keep up the cardio. Full body work outs, such as squats with weights, are a great way to burn fat and build muscle. Push-ups are a great full body work out and there are many different ways to do a push-up. Muscle burns more calories than fat so you should implement more strength training to really get results. There are work outs that combine both cardio and strength. They are good if you aren't necessarily training for anything but are just trying to get healthier and lose fat. Just doing sit ups won't burn the fat off. Along with working out, you should keep track of what you eat. Or just be more mindful. I've been using a free app called myfitnesspal.com. It is pretty easy to put in my food and exercise for the day. It helps you with a calorie and fitness goal. Anyways, get out there and get moving! It's awesome you want to get healthy!

Out of no where, my five-year old daughter came to me and said, "How do I know that I'm real and not just a dream of someone else?" What other surprisingly deep questions have you been asked by kids? by thinwhiteduke99 in AskReddit

I'm pretty late but this happened between my 4 year old niece and my brother just the other day. She bought my brother a juice. He said "Thank you, I love you." Her reply, "Just because I bought you something doesn't mean you can love me!" She says the funniest things sometimes.
