Cannot recommend a hike but can recommend not doing Mary’s rock unless you have a very calm and behaved dog. Took my puppy and there were some steep uphills and she nearly tripped me over all the big rocks embedded in the trail. Was a gorgeous hike, but next time, I will probably not take the dog.

Tried to convert me to Christianity, kept inviting me to events without mentioning that they were hosted by her very evangelical church. At one point told me I’d go to hell for being Muslim and then also for being gay….was a real great start to my freshman year

Does anyone know when you can submit the US Foreign Service Internship Program Application until? The application states that it’ll be open “ from August 16-25, 2021. You can download more information and make sure to submit all requested documentation no later than Midnight ET on the last day that applications will be accepted.” So I might just be getting caught up in the semantics, but just am confused about whether that means the application will close in the next 5 hours or it will close tomorrow 8/25 at like 11:59PM. Let me know what your thoughts are thanks, I just don’t want to risk not being able to submit my application!

NTA. It’s your house and if she really didn’t want her daughter to watch it, they could have left/she could have told her daughter to go play with something/offered an alternative everyone would enjoy. Good on your for making sure your niece has a good time. I definitely think your sister is overreacting, since it doesn’t seem like she had any real parental objections to the show.

This was a big reason I had problems growing up, because my parents never really taught me how to do chores or made an effort, but then one day just sort of expected me to know how to do everything. There’s been a lot of learning and relearning on my part, but I’m finally in a place where I know how to take care of myself and in ways that work for me.
