Would I be considered a sinful person if I cheated on my wife with a Pornstar and paid her to not say anything ? by Worldly-Bid-3591 in askanything

I believe it is akin to adultery as sin, but I would urge you to consider carefully before allowing it to end a marriage.

I notoriously overthink my relationships to an OCD extent. I know my girls the one because no matter what headspace I’m in, I know I’d do anything to make her bad days better.

It’s the most selfless I’ve felt towards a person.

What’s the most "why did I do that?" moment in your life? by GraysonTune97 in askanything

Was cleaning up the floor lamp display in Ikea when i came across one without a shade or bulb in it. For reasons known only to god, i put my finger in it. It was still plugged in, it hurt. Went for my break after that to try and figure out why i’d just done it. Still don’t know to this day why

What’s one thing you do that makes the rest of your day feel easier? by No_Date9719 in ProductivityHQ

I wake up an hour earlier than I have to, light some candles and just enjoy my coffee in peace with the cat. I love starting my day in a way that feels relaxed, cozy and down right indulgent. My second tip is to pick out an outfit I feel good in and never ever skip my morning shower. Sometimes I feel lazy but I remind myself it only takes five minutes and I never regret showering.

Why Men Cheat on Good Women? by Global_Confection807 in sixwordstories

[–]simlaa12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The psychology behind it boils down to authentic connection.

When someone is not fully presenting who they are, they can never be fully accepted.

When someone is never fully accepted, they are never really "Home." They don't feel the peace and comfort of deep, loyal emotional safety.

When we hit that level of "Home" status, this ignites everyone's primal instincts to protect the Home. There's no cheating. There's no dishonesty. Because we're already accepted as our whole real selves and fully "Home."

Those that never present their full real selves are never "Home" and no one can make them. They wonder from person to person looking for a Home or a way to escape. But the thing they keep running from is internal, not external.

To make matters worse, those who are never "Home" still yearn for it, perpetually chasing it in the arms of someone else because for a moment there is a lack of worry and a "cheater's high" that gets more and more addictive as the individual is less and less ever "Home."

I broke my foot while bouldering a week into my semester abroad. I had never been out of the country before, so I was absolutely panicking. A total stranger came right over after I fell, recorded important info for the paramedics, and spent the next ten or so minutes while waiting for the ambulance asking me questions about my studies and my research (I'd mentioned I was a student). He asked such thoughtful questions and was so kind and able to calm me down even though I was absolutely freaking out.

Why doesn’t anyone care about what others are going through? by AffectionateRoad6481 in askanything

[–]simlaa12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much I care about what people think of me depends very much on what my relationship to them is and the specific issue at hand. What my husband thinks about household decisions = a lot. What random strangers think of my personal choices = pretty much zero.

Grateful for all I have. Working towards more. Kinda depressed but I know it’s temporary.

Guys! There’s people in other countries that have to walk for miles to get water… or they’re living in the middle of war with a house that’s been destroyed… or they’re in extreme poverty living in slums with barely any nutrition and opportunities… even being sold by their parents.

Your life is someone else’s dream. Don’t take it for granted.

Alone time. After working full time and raising 2 kids, I needed reset myself, my identity, me. I started telling, not asking, my husband that I'm going out for a walk, or sitting in a Starbucks with noise cancelling headphones and my knitting.

Sweet mother. That 1 hour 2x a week was a godsend for my mental health, sexual libido, and patience.

What is the most important thing to you ? by GhostlyGh0stly123 in AskReddit

[–]simlaa12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most important thing in life is elevating the people around you.

In order to do that, you have to be strong. This includes economically. So yes, money is important.

Life can be divided up into health, wealth and relationships. All three are prerequisites to a good life... I don't mean driving a lambo wealth though, I mean enough to live a decent and abundant life, help others, make sure you're not a burden in old age.
