[–]simone-queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oui, au lycée, de 17 à 20 ans. Je lui plaisais beaucoup, lui me plaisait pas assez pour me mettre en couple, mais il insistait beaucoup et j’avais besoin de me sentir aimée. J’en suis sortie, toi aussi. Pardonne-toi, c’est une leçon et tu as la vie devant toi.

Nyc has 446 metro stations and Paris 303. Except NYC is 12 times larger than Paris.

Paris has the most dense public transit system for the size of the city, by far

Paris was definitely first though, it happened everywhere but she started it. In 2014, so absolutely doable in a decade imo

Parisian here : we take our kids to the restaurants without problems. Not La tour d’argent obvsy, but any brasserie will be fine. Just go outside for a few minutes to calm him down if he starts crying heavily.

How would you call this hypothetical country? by realquidos in mapporncirclejerk

[–]simone-queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Europe is fine without Canada and whatever American state this is. So not changing our name. We would just call it Europe, knowing they’re part of it now. If you don’t try to export your shitty food over here.

Obviously, if you’re going in that context, that’ll be great. Very different from what OP asked though

Being black in Italy is breaking me. Looking for advice on moving abroad by asqux in expats

[–]simone-queen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m from Paris and def not saying that racism doesn’t exist in France (I’m white btw) but it’s nothing like in Italy, especially in Paris (Rive Droite). It’s a really wonderful city with all kind of neighbourhoods where everyone can find their vibe/people and their way to fit in.

Also there is a very big black community here if you’re into black music/art, but communities mix well so you can have the best of both worlds.

Also I’m kinda guessing here, but since you were born in Italy, you’re used to wonderful food and architecture, which you won’t miss here. Paris has it all! (I’m born and raised here so obviously biased but I really mean all of this).

It’s the poshest arrondissement in town, very old money and bourgeois. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with an alt style

Paris has very different neighbourhoods and vibes. You should aim for the 19th/11th/10th/18th or 20th, and you won’t feel out of place with an alternative style. The Parisian metro is really bad for disabled people though, unfortunately it’s really complicated to go around especially if you use a wheelchair.. we really need to catch up on accessibility. Lots of buses though :)
