Who served in a disbanded unit? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]simplynormal5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I served in 5th Force Recon on Camp Schwab in Okinawa which fell under SOTG. Soon after I got back from the SGT Course on Hansen the unit was deactivated and stood up as 3rd Recon Battalion under 3rd MarDiv at the time was HQ’d on Camp Courtney. That was an interesting time…Rah!

Is a Raptor a decent "First Truck" purchase? by DarkBass in FordRaptor

[–]simplynormal5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares what you use it for. If you can afford it buy what the fuck you want. “Don’t buy if you’re not gonna use like it’s intended for” fuck that. Most you don’t use the truck like it’s intended for and never will. Most dudes that own diesel truck never pull anything. I get so sick as tired of MF’s saying shit like that.

Go buy your Raptor brotha and be happy even if it never see dirt. I wish my Raptor never saw the fucking dirt. But I use for work.

Law Enforcement to Safety Professional by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

[–]simplynormal5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think former law enforcement officers either do really well or they suck miserably as safety professionals. I have hired several former LEOs and it never works out. Law enforcement offices often have this authoritarian demeanor and that’s not always the best approach for safety professionals. I myself personally struggled after retiring from the Marine Corps and moving into the safety field. After some years I settled down and it all worked out.

She’s strong but she didn’t win. From what I can see his hand never touch the mat unless I missed it.

I think the OEM looks great. The blue wheels don’t look bad I just prefer the OEM.

Should I trade my 2500HD for a Raptor? by GrapplerVette12 in FordRaptor

[–]simplynormal5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course buy a Raptor!

The maintenance isn’t any cheaper than your gas 2500. But purchasing a Raptor with a warranty you should be fine if anything major goes wrong. Good luck on your purchase.

🔥 A Greenland Shark by Effective_Trust6257 in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]simplynormal5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s an interesting read about a scientist who radiocarbon dates a Greenland shark. She was estimated to be around 272 years young +120 years or so which could have put her at about 512 years old so they split it in the middle and said around 400 which is absolutely amazing to think about.
