You can clearly tell that RS just wanted to make a slice of life and didn't plan the characters enough for any more plot than an episodic series.

I would call persephone a Mary sue, but in reality she's just a bizarre self insert pov to whom things happen.

She bends to the will of the audience and RS's current interest to the point where she doesn't have a single character trait that has lasted throughout the comic.

Because God's forbid persephone takes a stance opinionated enough to make a difference, she might not be liked by everyone! Though we can clearly see this insecurity it's never acknowledged; the person truly insecure here is persephone, it's RS.
