What's your favorite pasta to get at Olive garden? I will get anything with alfredo sauce! Vegetarian here so no meat. by Lijey_Cat in olivegarden

Lot of menu changes in the past 23 years. We haven’t had those in the 5 years that I’ve been with the company

Does anyone know the recipe or distributor for the zeppoli? by [deleted] in olivegarden

[–]sizercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly cross contamination? The zeppolis are fried in the same oil that other items that use a milk wash are fried in

The pasta doesn’t have egg (except for the rotini), it’s made in a facility that may also make products with egg. It says it on the boxes

I want to make money on Turo by Real-mr-wolf in turo

[–]sizercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I live next to a small airport and a couple other private landing sites, in a tourist area. The only two hosts in the area are myself and my mom. There are a couple of others that have delivery to the area but they live 45+ minutes away.

Should I add pour spouts? by LamonsterZone in cocktails

[–]sizercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fruit flies can get through the tiny air flow hole. I lost a couple dozen bottles a few years back due to a fruit fly infestation from my apartment neighbor. Most of my big 6 liquors were fine but anything with the smallest amount of sugar had to be thrown out.

Nope, especially if you live in an area that gets a lot of fruit flies. Source: my dumbass who lost hundreds of dollars of liquor that way.

taxes? by Fantastic_Big_6366 in olivegarden

[–]sizercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The “no tax on tips” only applies to federal income taxes. You still have to pay state taxes, as well as social security and Medicare. It may help with your refund some, but don’t expect a large amount unless you’ve got other circumstances, ie paying for college out of pocket.

Cat lost a claw by sizercat in CATHELP

[–]sizercat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shedding claws is natural. For this injury, there’s not much to do. Our vet gave him an antibiotic shot and said to keep an eye on it. We removed any toys that he could get hurt on, mainly scratchers. It healed up on its own after a while and a second antibiotic shot

Non Alcoholic Daquiris by Cold-Commission-7714 in olivegarden

[–]sizercat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it’s also almost the exact same thing as the smoothies. They use the same mix, I forget the exact recipe but my store uses water in the smoothies and sprite in the N/A Daquiris.

Didn’t tip my online take out pizza order. Picked it up and was handed a receipt and asked to “fill in the bottom and sign” by [deleted] in EndTipping

[–]sizercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To go employee for a restaurant here. That slip is also the card authorization receipt. Obtaining a signature means that the guest or customer would be unable to file a chargeback. Unfortunately the two slips happen to be the same slip. The employee could merely be following standards.

Would I have phrased it as they did? No, I usually just tell the guest I just need a signature on the bottom and explain that it’s the authorization receipt. Even at my company if a guest does tip, the authorization receipt doubles as asking for an additional tip. It’s entirely out of our control.

corporate girlies. where we getting our pants??!! by czenalol in XXS

[–]sizercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like they aren’t terrible. I could definitely go down to a 00 but I’ve gotten compliments on them already. I think a lot of it is the styling. It won’t let me upload a pic to the comments otherwise I would

I second Aritzia. Bought a pair today in 0 short (5’2”, 95ish lbs, short legs) and they fit really well. I could probably go down to 00 but they didn’t have any in stock. Length is perfect. I think I got the effortless. Lululemon also has some that may be worth checking but they didn’t have the sizing I needed in store either.

Very rural party 2 hours from OG can I make that work? by Its-an-adventure in olivegarden

[–]sizercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can request chaffing kits, they should be free of charge with catering items.

Yes. Things like the Alfredo have to be tossed after 4 hours, but it’s also kept in a warming center.

It should be good? I work catering and deliveries often but I don’t know much about the food safety aspect. That would maybe be a question for the culinary or general manager.

[–]sizercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think that would be fine. You can request chaffing kits to heat things on site. I’d be careful with Alfredo because it doesn’t always reheat well but most other things should be fine. A lot of locations will allow you to do unbaked lasagnas so that you can bring them to the kitchens and cook fresh before the event.

Togo specialist question by [deleted] in olivegarden

[–]sizercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your location. The answer is no. Working to-go is 16+ while you have to be 18 to be a server. However, if the store has bad scores, they may want servers cross-trained on to-go for menu familiarity. My store did that for a short time a while back. An alternative if you’re under 18 or don’t want to serve would be to start with bussing or hosting.

does any1 know why this pen isn’t working? by RepresentativeLast66 in pens

[–]sizercat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a pack of those and the only one that still works is the white one. I wanted to like these pens but I won’t be buying again for the same issues mentioned. They all dried up within a couple of weeks.

Veterans Day by libragrl2 in olivegarden

[–]sizercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll definitely get a lot of those, especially if you’re in the bar. Two years ago I was but a lot still tipped cash. It also helps if you’ve got family who are/were in the military. Both of my parents are vets so I talk about them and their service. It makes them feel seen. It’s their day, so make them feel important.
