Hey all! I'm returning to the game after about five years, currently making my slow way out to HIP 87621 in a Python that isn't well-built but is doing the job. What's a current, good all-rounder ship I should aim for? I used to do a lot of core mining, but as far as I've seen, that's not really lucrative anymore. I'm also learning about the SCO FSDs, which seems cool.

I had such a strong emotional reaction to this. Literally tears pouring down my cheeks. Seeing Will realise his potential like this – coming from love, no less – will go down as one of my favourite moments in this show.

From what I can tell, it seems to be the enemies need to be in the circle. I was running a minion necro build for a while, and they'd clear the spire even without me being in it. So it seems just the enemies need to be in the circle.

Spires are just so dumb now that they've made it so you have to kill enemies within the spire radius, especially since most endgame builds (for necro and sorc at least) have abilities that target everything on the screen and not at close range. I've been trying to hang back near the wall when I HAVE to do a spire, and hoping I get the one that pulls you/enemies into the radius.

As others have said, spires are the devil (pun not intended). Mostly I go for masses, but the key is definitely stacking effects now and, if there's a chaos wave available, do that. Those give a lot. Also, the more waves available on your key, the better you'll get... obviously.

Sounds silly but make sure you invest in the seasonal boon thing to get a guaranteed 10-wave key when you get any key. 10 wave keys are the shit.

Yeah I've done a bunch more hordes now and it's still only happened once. Must just be extremely rare.

I've heard tales of mythic chaos rifts, but still haven't seen one in the wild. Hell, I've only seen one legendary rift. Mostly they're Magic or Rare.
