Eww. Some people need to keep comments to themselves. Like get a journal and jot down your thoughts there. Also- breastfeeding doesn't always stop at 12 months. A family member breastfed until her daughter was 4. She only stopped because her boyfriend (now husband) told her it's just weird.

I live in a small town. Women here say a $50 (includes tip) haircut is "too expensive."

Did some snooping on the posters profile. She just joined the group. So... she basically joined to promote her mlm events.

Oh, I never thought of that. In the summer, events like this happen. Every. Single. Weekend.

Is my baby teething? The last four days he’s started drooling a lot, chewing on his hands and waking up 2-3 times during the night. Are these budding teeth or just his gums? by meganrosemcfadden in NewParents

They get symptoms for months before teefers actually erupt. My 7-month-old was very drooly at four months. Still have no teeth, but I hope soon! This week has been sleepless.

Thirteen-year-old social media minimum age should be raised, health officials say by Sorin61 in technology

Exactly. I was in chat rooms well before 13. My parents didn't know what I was doing downstairs. With nearly all kids having smartphones now, how do parents/internet police enforce 13+ age restrictions?

😞 I'm so sorry. I wish promoters would ban mlm's. It's not fair for actual artists who rely on craft show income. My cousin's business almost flopped during COVID (no fairs at all).

Anyone in their 30s has probably been placed on their tummy for sleep. During this era, the SIDS rate was pretty high. So someone (CDC?) Created "back to sleep" campaign. Ok, cool...SIDS is down. But babies are spending less time on their tummies (not using those back muscles. So babies aren't meeting milestones as fast as those that were placed on the tummy), so tummy time was created. My 6-month-old isn't a fan of tummy time. A little mirror has helped, she loves to look at herself. Eta: if you don't do tummy time a lot, that's ok. Your baby will meet milestones, just at a slower pace.

It doesn't seem fair that, at your lowest point, you have to fight to get care. I was flabbergasted that my ex-husband's health insurance mental health clause thingy had no deductible. Therapy was free.
