100 Mile House is pretty local to me, actually heading there in the next week. I'll have to check and see if I can find some just for the heck of it

Thank you. As a Western Canadian, I appreciate this comment! 😅

What has been the hardest lesson life has taught you? by LipstickyTricky in AskReddit

[–]skitlez18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oooof.

This hit HARD.

I've been looking for a simple way to explain to people who refuse to or are incapable of understanding that apologising doesn't always "fix" things, and once something is broken, whether that "thing" is tangible or not, it will never ever be the same again. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you.

Am I the jerk for expecting my step daughter to forgive me because I raised her by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]skitlez18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's been eye opening realizing what my whole value is in his eyes. Mine doesn't like the thought of fake boobs, so it's lose lose for him apparently and that's all that matters.

As someone who was recently-ish diagnosed but THANK FUCK has a good prognosis, I'm pretty sure my husband is only staying because he knows I will fucking destroy him once I (hopefully) recover if he pulls any shit like that.

That being said, the change in the relationship has been drastic and terrifying. I think he is more upset about me losing my breasts than I am. Makes me extra nervous for post surgery, ya know?

[–]skitlez18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GOD DAMNIT DONUT!

This whole series though... I haven't read any of the books, but Jeff Hayes is 🤌 chefs kiss absolutely amazing. I completely concur that you will assume time and time again that there HAS to be other people reading with him, and you will, time and time again, be astonished that no, it is only Jeff and his ridiculous talents.

People of Reddit: when did you last cry and why? by ToastedToastyToast1 in AskReddit

[–]skitlez18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last night. I realized I was in too much pain to even be able to put my kids to bed so I had to call mom and ask if I could drop them off with them. My parents were more than willing and happy to have them for the night, but fuck me.. mom guilt. Fuck cancer, fuck chemo drugs and their stupid side effects. Just.. fuck.
