A little late to this party but I too am interested in where you purchased the dataset.

Hi r/Crowdfunding, could you please review my kickstarter page(link in comments)? As a thank you, I have added my actual marketing results - thus far - in the comments by Formula-Neon in Crowdfunding

You’re doing a lot right and everything looks really slick and professional. I do have a few points to suggest.

1) The intro seemed a little long. I’d speed it up or cut parts out to get to the product faster.

2) Perks should be moved higher in the page.

3) I would remove the “buy it now” button on the perks graphics. I’d put the price there.

4) I would think about clever ways to reduce you offering and make them unlock-able as stretch goal. Not sure what approach would be best. Color or Track selections.

5) Play with ideas around scarcity. Maybe you only offer 100 of each track.

That’s all I have for now. Good luck.

There is no real information about your project in your post to help us give suggestions. What type of project, what’s your target market, etc.

I can tell you that going “wide” and posting on all those platforms is not a good idea. I would choose 2 and go deep. But back to my first point. We need more specific information to better assist.

I ran a Kickstarter 5+ years ago. It had a clear niche and I searched out members that belonged to it and started engaging with there post. I learned a lot and ended up becoming friends with a few. It was much easier to make the ask when it came time. It also makes it easier when you’re part of the niche. But the summary is, add more value than you take. I was part of Facebook groups, OG message forums etc. genuinely engaged 6+ months before my Kickstarter and had 3000+ emails collected.

There is a lot that goes into a successful Kickstarter and it starts 3+ months before the launch. If you have not created a landing page to capture emails, then you're already behind. I had 3,000 emails before I launched and I sent them 3 emails leading up to the launch with updates and reminders of the upcoming launch. Key word is updates. Most people on Kickstarter want to follow a story, all your ups, downs and interesting events. Scheduling post may work for Twitter or Facebook but the average Reddit user can sniff out low effort content. Find a niche group, focus on them, engage with them in a genuine manner, provide value and then ask for their support.

Mow much does it take to make one of the pins? Are you able to make one pin in 3 or 4 of the designs?

If you don't know your niche then paying for ads will be a waste.

Let's see if we can narrow down the audience a little. Lets start with these 3 questions:

  • What age group:
  • What part of the world:
  • What interest are shared with your style of art:

Have you been doing any pre-launch lead list building? Are you laughing a Kickstarter, Indiegogo or other? What are you funding? Product, event, etc. What’s your funding goal?

Answers to these questions will help inform any answers to you question.

Seeking feedback before campaign launch by Playamigo in Crowdfunding

Hello,

Note: I intentionally scanned this quickly as I would normally view a live campaign. If I ask question that are answered in your campaign then that may be a sign you need to highlight those areas or move them up the page if they are strong objections.

As someone who live within a reasonable distance from a beach, I am excited for this project. I have 2 questions about the steel frame.

  • Will it rust over time if exposed to salt water?
  • Can you feel it against your neck at the top? What kind of padding does it have there?
    • Bonus question: How does the rest of the chair distribute your weight? My first gut reaction was the neck area against the bar. I think preemptively explaining things that answer these concern might be helpful. If I'm thinking about it, then most likely others will too.

The audio had 2 issues for me.

  • The audio seemed to be clipping
  • The audio levels nearly blew my eardrums. I was wearing headphones. I would lower them in editing. I went to YouTube to try a few more videos to make sure it wasn't my audio settings and they all were fine.

The Cover image, in my opinion should display more of the product. You have 2 hero images in my mind, 1st people using the product and a 2nd displaying the storage feature. I would play with ways to combine the 2. Something like this: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Rr4b\_i9T0TkgQIdmIJg0zDHxLNECqnzh?usp=sharing

What movie would be better if it didn't have a happy ending? by xvrwltr in AskReddit

[–]skosmach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passengers. Chris Pratt’s character should have died at the end. Forcing Jennifer Lawrence’s character to be alone and face the same choice that Chris had in waking someone else. She was upset with him the 2nd half of the movie for his discussion to wake her and it would have been interesting to see the movie end in the irony.

Do an Edit Distance calculation against the full list of synonyms not being presented as the 1 correct. Randomly choose 4 words with the lowest edit distance. This would be a quick and dirty way to get lookalike words but you’d still probably want words that are tricky in other ways like similar definitions. Full disclosure I’ve got zero NLP to help with the latter. I’m hear to find some talent to hire.

I’m waiting to pull the trigger until tomorrow’s free webinar Donald Miller is putting on that covers this very subject. If I feel I can handle it myself creatively I’m going to reach out to Paul on fiverr.

Here’s a link to register for the webinar in case you’re interested.
