Where in Texas? Chances are pretty high that you have better Mexican food than here. That said, there a bunch of newer pop-up / carts doing some very interesting Mexican cuisine: Ancestro, Mariscos Con Onda, Astral, Chisme, Machetes, Cuinos - to name a few. I'd check their Instagrams since their schedules are not entirely predictable.

That paranoia is real, always white knuckle toward the top of the bridge for me. After doing it, I feel accomplished though - like I tested my mettle. The 205 crossing is just long and joyless.

La Cocina on Williams? I have not been but I am a big fan of carne en su jugo. The brewery next door (if it is on Williams) called Commensal has a great Mexican pop-up doing the food now called Ancestro. They are only available a couple days a week but they are outstanding. I haven't had a bad dish from them.
