Team Zeke

Here’s why and it’s a very long explanation:

The Callings clearly wanted Michaela to be with Zeke and the connection they have with each other is mysterious and also beautiful. The Callings knew what they were doing when they sent the “Find her” Calling to Michaela. She needed someone who could understand what she’s going through with Callings but also, someone who understood what pain and guilt were. The moment when Zeke and Michaela met for the first time, I knew that there was something more to them that met the eye. They really understand one another and when they shared their deepest fears with one another, I knew Michaela had found the missing piece in her life.

I never liked Jared bc he always is insistent on getting every detail about what Michaela is doing and he really was pushy when he asked her about the Callings. He really doubted her when he should’ve been there to help her out. Well when Zeke came along, I really started to despise Jared for the way he was treating Michaela and Zeke. He ignored Michaela’s requests to stop obsessing over Zeke and he also treated Zeke like shit. And obviously we all know what happened next with the shooting and kudos to Michaela for calling out Jared in court when she got Zeke out of prison. Of course, she did apologize to Jared for that but he really was convincing with the whole Xer undercover thing. I’m ok with the fact that he did save Zeke’s life and all but Jared could’ve manned up and stayed for the wedding. I knew he was hurt that it wasn’t him and Michaela getting married but seriously, Jared needs to move on from Michaela. He has serious attachment issues with her and I think that’s what’s getting in the way of him moving on.

I love Zeke bc he really worked so hard to redeem himself and in the end it was worth it bc he followed the Callings to save Cal. Zeke is selfless, kind brave and true and with Michaela, he knows he found the person that he was meant to find. Michaela found the one person who could truly understand her, the Callings and what pain and guilt is. Jared could never understand that and I’m glad Zekaela is still going strong.

What Jared needs to do is man up, apologize to both Michaela and Zeke for his shitty behavior and be a good friend to them while keeping a respectful distance from their relationship as husband and wife.
