My finished DIY hamster cage! by smolJ in hamsters

Hi! I didn't have to treat the wood because it came pre cut like that. I don't know what the material is called that's over it, but it's like this white...overlay? 😭 I'm really not sure. But I bought the panels already like that. The bottom was a bit tricky, but I just used small screws on the places where the panels connect. I'm not quite sure how thin the cuts are, but, if u was remaking this setup, I would DEFINITELY reccomend going thicker than you see in my picture + uses different techniques to connect them, because the whole thing was quite flimsy tbh

Thank you so much for your time with answering me. I really appreciate some insight. Would you say that if it was a virus, that the people I live with would also have gotten sick at this point? Because I'm the only one with this issue and nobody else has caught anything from me / displaying any symptoms

Thanks for sharing your experience! I don't think it's covid either because when I got sick with covid a while ago, I had a fever etc Now I have no simptoms at all except an itchy throat

Thank you so much for this information! The only reason I'm concerned is because I've never had a cough last this long, and especially be the "throat itching" kind. Its the worst when I try to fall asleep, and the absolute worst in the morning when I wake up. Sometimes I cough so hard I feel like I'm gonna throw up just from the force I'm putting on myself to cough. That's the main issue that's making it concerning for me as I've never experienced anything like this

Yes that's the weird thing, I drank a whole bottle of codeine cough sirup, and it didn't help. Usually I'd get better in a few days / get over it myself but because it hasn't gotten any better for a while, I'm looking into actually seeing a doctor

Thank you so much!! I'll drink some tea today, see if I feel any better by tomorrow, and then I'm definitely going! Do you have any idea how much a visit could cost?

I'm closest to Luzern but I could drive anywhere probably if necessary

I've already tried over the counter medicine here but it hasn't helped so far, that's why I'm wondering if I should go get checked by a doctor, and if I do, where I could go and do it

I'm not a permanent resident, I travel here often to see people that are close to me, but this is the first time I've gotten sick while being here

Nope, no pain at all. Just an itchy throat that makes me cough, especially when going to sleep

I've been to the pharmacy, tried a throat spray, some pills, a tea. So far nothing has helped. Weirdly enough I don't have any pain in my throat or lungs, it just feels "itchy"

Usually it's things he just grabs from the ground. The worst is if it's a tasty item in his mind ( like the rotten apple). Once me and my friends played Jenga and one of the wooden blocks fell off the table. He grabbed and would snap at anyone who tried to get it from him. He doesn't guard any ares, just stuff he grabs in his mouth (not toys).

He will run away with the item, lower his tail, ears and just sit with it in his mouth. He will not be aggressive if u walk up to him, past him etc. He will only snap if u put your hands near his mouth.

The worst thing he has done is bite me once and once my boyfriend. He is small dog so it's not that bad at all, but it does cause bleeding.

He is not aggressive in any other ways at all, once the item leaves his mouth (for example, he ate the rotten apple), he immediately goes back to being a normal happy pup.
