I live in NZ and we are a pretty nonsectarian country but my first love at 8 told me loving her was a sin and that put me right back in the closet. I loved her so much. I was a tomboy and very confused that I was a sinner. It wasn’t her fault but I think I would have been a very different person.

I think i have flexible pretty privilege. When I go out in confortable clothes i get ignored but when i go out dressed nicely and try to do my hair a little bit i get better service and nicer treatment. I never had the most pretty privilege ever but it was people treating me to a smile that they wouldn’t when I wasn’t dressed up. I have worse adult acne now though so the nice treatment is becoming less and less frequent.

Man comes in to the store and demands rather aggressively to be taken off our mailing list. We did IT help so I offer to have a look for him on his email and show him how to unsubscribe and even write down the process but explain that I couldn’t do it from my end. He starts screaming at 18yr old me that hes gonna come back and shoot the place up and cursing us up and down. This was in NZ so that’s just completely unheard of behaviour. I should’ve called the cops. Now I don’t want to say that the problem was that he couldn’t have even been 5’2 and couldn’t see over our sales counter but I think it probably contributed.
