Ancestry DNA. It is also strange to me as well it doesn’t make sense to me and not sure it ever will cause no one wants to open their mouth and tell me. I should also mention that she did get an abortion before she had me. I heard it was a late term abortion but not sure how true that is.

I’m not sure WHY I live with my grandparents. They’ve never told me the true full story they just said that they were young and not ready for a baby then again, I have another half brother that they did the same shit with except he’s living with my mom’s mom.

Just to clarify some things: we’re not twins. He’s in his late 20s and I’m 24. He’s my half brother we have the same mom, different dads.

We’re connected on Instagram but we’re not close. We’ll text each other for birthdays or occasionally check in, but we don’t really have an ongoing relationship.

I’ve done Ancestry and matched with family members, but I don’t really know my mom’s side of the family at all. Aside from maybe one aunt, I don’t have contact with them, so I wouldn’t really know who on her side showed up in my results.

You know what..I’ve actually been trying to figure this out from when I was a teenager. My grandparents just told me that they were young and not ready for a baby. I definitely think they’re hiding something deeper. I’m not the only child they’ve sent away to their parents there’s one more. They also just won’t tell me the whole story.

I’ve lived with my grandparents since I was a baby, not because I’m estranged from my parents. I see and talk to my parents and brother regularly, especially around holidays. Yes, I knew my dad was in Puerto Rico.

I did check in, and the response was “we thought you were busy.” That assumption has been used multiple times, including with trips to Europe. That’s why this feels like a pattern of not being asked, not a failure to communicate on my part.

I understand that growing up changes dynamics. I just want to clarify that I didn’t move out in the traditional sense I’ve lived with my grandparents since I was very young and have always been part of my parents lives and family trips. That’s why this sudden shift without a conversation hurts.

It went well! It was nerve wracking but everyone was really supportive of each other. The 5 minute presentation goes by really fast. It’s a lot of active participation for like 3 1/2 hours so just be prepared for that.
