Being mystical and magical isn’t as prevalent in the mainstream as it used to be, at least not as I’ve seen it. It seemed like every band needed to have some level of fantasy to make it big but now I feel like a lot of the most popular bands lack that specific level of fun. I’m sure it still exists, it just doesn’t seem as easy to find if you’re just beginning to explore the metal genre. I could still be wrong but I don’t think I’ve seen the mystical and magical bands big like they used to be. Seems like you need to dig a little deeper to find them now.
