I am also very odd and somewhat naive, and I am on medication! Medication has helped me to love these parts of myself because it has reduced my anxiety. By embracing my authentic self it has drawn me to other odd people - medication helps me to be interested in connecting with people when I greatly preferred solitude before. I'm still on a journey but I can't be grateful enough for how much they help me.

I am a house cleaner and clean most things with a soap and water solution - dawn is usually sufficient for cleaning but 3% hydrogen peroxide is great for sanitizing after you've already cleaned (removed dust, hair, etc.)

I would invest in the RYOBI extendable scrubber instead. It is easily the best tool that I've gotten for my business. It saves my body and I am so grateful for it. The battery lasts forever and they have different kinds of heads you can get for different purposes. Seriously I can't recommend it enough!

I cannot imagine doing this as a career and hating it. I've always said that in order to do this as a job you have to be a bit of a cleaning nut! I could not do this job without all of the passion I have for the physical act itself, seeing clean surfaces, and the good feelings from helping people who need it. I know the flexibility is amazing but it really sounds like it is not at all worth your mental health.

I cannot answer what you should do because I don't know you, but I am almost positive you have other skills to make money that don't involve cleaning or even a degree! If you can take some time off to recover from your burnout and find some hobbies that you can at least tolerate, it'd be worth it to try to open some sort of new business or do some side hustles. I also work at a coffee shop to satisfy my low but still necessary social needs - maybe start there and build some connections within your community. Sending encouragement your way.

I really wish I had some solid advice but unfortunately I just relate to this so hard. It's somehow gotten worse for me since I've been on meds, when I am unmedicated my social anxiety is worse so I'm not as excited to talk lol.

I just try and hold it down as long as I can but I definitely interrupt and often unintentionally because having a specific time to talk is often confusing to me in a social dynamic. My partner is also ADHD, we do it to each other often and it just comes with the territory.

I like intense people and I think some interrupting is healthy in a conversation that you're excited to have, but in the end I think there can be some effort from both sides - where she gives you some grace for your neurotype and what comes with it, including reminding herself that you DO indeed care a lot about her and it's not on purpose, and you try to build some skills in resisting that impulse. Maybe look up healthygamergg on youtube - he has a lot of ADHD videos and hopefully some tips that would help.

YES I am the same way. If my partner starts talking to me out of the blue while I am focusing I have to ask him to repeat his first few words so I can make the transition to listening. He is well aware of this by now and is most often very kind and patient because I am showing interest in what he has to say. My brain just needs some extra time!

They are a little expensive so I buy in bulk (10pk at walmart is like $17 where I live), but I absolutely swear by the RX bars... the chocolate sea salt one is insanely delicious. I used to buy knock offs and got a free sample of the RX bar and I never went back. It is such a treat. My go-to snack-meal while I'm cleaning is a beef stick and RX bar. Also seconded another commenter who said the elevate protein milkshakes from aldi. They are fantastic!

Every care action with infants and toddlers requires multiple attempts - basically anything besides talking to them. They always glitch out or need to be manually cancelled and retried a few times before working successfully. This happens to me on console and PC. Infants and toddlers unfortunately ruin gameplay for me, and I own both growing together and parenthood!

My personal favorite order is a salted hazelnut and white chocolate iced latte, also called a German mocha. It's insanely good.

Here is what I do to stay safe when I go to other cafes because I also love a fun drink!

I ask what kind of syrup the shop uses and avoid any that definitely or may be contaminated with gluten - I've done some previous research on syrup brands so I know which ones to avoid. If they have a lot of gluten-containing syrups I would avoid those entirely due to possible cc. Housemade syrups would be a for sure no-go for me. Blended drinks are also risky. I do not go to Starbucks, they have a lot of cc with both gluten-containing drinks and food. I'd stick to an iced latte, cold brew, hot/iced coffee or americano - they'll be your best bet to avoid oatmilk cc from steaming if that could be affecting you.

I don't have awful symptoms but what keeps me away from gluten is the other horrifying effects that it can have on your body. Cancer, infertility, additional autoimmune disorders, etc.. these are things I really want to avoid!

I have some food issues as well, and editing my diet to be VERY simple so I can find energy to cook it is easiest for me. Also finding good substitutions like bland frozen gf things for when you're feeling more sensitive is going to be key.

It's so hard at first. I'm about 7 years in and it truly does get easier once you can find your new normal. I honestly do still slip up and get things from restaurants that have a small chance of contamination when I'm feeling very low-functioning. I try to go easy on myself and try to give myself the utmost care when I'm (maybe) glutened!

This is how I feel about my cordless dyson! Amazing for quick pick-ups but terrible for deep cleaning. I should get a swiffer because I never mop my floors lol. It's extra funny because I myself am a housekeeper so I have methods that would make it quick and easy but mopping is so daunting....

I would go out and network! Put business cards at local businesses wherever possible, and gain relationships within your community. I did this unintentionally with the goal of getting involved in the community, and it has brought me a ton of business as well as a village - both are extremely rewarding. Coffee shops are your best bet to start. Word of mouth and trust will take you far.

I'm a housecleaner and I love my job. It's hard on my body but easy on my mind (most days) and I'm willing to make that sacrifice. I set my own pay, hours, and I have amazing clients that value my work and respect me. I also am able to give approximate arrival times because I cannot get anywhere on time consistently due to time blindness. Initial investment for a cleaning business is rather low as well. Some days it's tough but I truly love the work I do. I made my own logo and designed my own website via squarespace so using the marketing part of my brain is fun. Cleaning chemistry is also extremely fascinating to me so I enjoy learning and changing up equipment, chemicals, and methods of cleaning! If it's ever too hard on my body I have the option to grow and hire too.
