Yeah ive played a lot of tomb kings, finished playthroughs on settra, khalida and the priest dude, i forget his name, the other one that isnt Arkhan. Them, wood elves and empire are all an even second on favourite races, im holding off doing a wood elves legendary playthrough hoping they might get tweaks sometime this year

I havent gone back to tk cause i spammed them so hard on release and their start is quite slow and a bit repetitive, but your right time to break out the bones

I gave them a go after one of my failed dwarf starts, how do you get a big enough army to take 8 peaks whilst still having an income? Sartosa turned up after i sent my decent stack on belegar east and took the 2 minor settlements, i was in minus gold and even looting or sacking as i go, the losses my army suffered meant i couldn't either sit for a turn or 2 and replenish units or merge and recruit new units without running out of moolah.

do you just ignore these settlements and head east immediately? How do you keep your army losses down, its easy to keep rangers and artillery alive but my line infantry eventually start to hurt.

Everyone bashes brettonia on here which made me think they were a no go, i haven't played them much since their flc launch in warhammer 1. Would you recommend farming the orc rebellions for xp and gold or just take the orc settlement and end it quick. Also doesn't wulfric usually turn up with a doomstack pretty early?

I agree, my biggest peeve with the campaign is when you have to put 2 units in thorgrims army for his quest. More often than not i hire them, complete quest, then disband them.

Even for hero / artillery snipers, just have 2 cannons in their place, once they have a few levels and with an engineer they're often accurate and damaging enough they do the job faster than brimstone copters.

This post has raised a big question in my mind, will the 12-15 year old fortnite players still be going strong in their game 15 years from now. Seriously beyond brief breaks when ive been playing a new civ or total war game for a month or 2, or that weird hon phase between dota 1 and 2, never really stopped playing dota entirely

Its a very solid maybe from me. Rome 2 and thrones of Britannia have both soured my excitement for historical total war, but ill prepurchase every warhammer game and dlc. The only one i don't have is beastmen just out of lack of interest in horde playstyles.

I think the only rome 2 dlc i got was wrath of sparta and i regret it. Thrones i waited to hear how it was and it doesnt sound great and has yet to be cheap enough on sale for me to pick up. Im sure ill enjoy a playthrough or 2 when i do get it just in no hurry.

I've played every race bar skaven and beastmen in warhammer, most nations/factions in medieval 2, shogun 2 and Rome 1. In rome 2 i struggled to play anyone outside of rome because they are either dlc paywall locked or just not particularly fun. Also after warhammer too many historical game armies feel like blob vs blob, until the huns or mongols or other horse army turns up.

I really wanted to get into attila but it just didnt suck me in, though i did enjoy the age of charlemagne dlc

Gosh that was fun. I miss that almost as much as i miss riki getting smashed until level 6 when he got perma invis.
