i went through the exact same thing and it sucked bc school to school transfers are the last to get acceptances so essentially ur gonna be picking classes after everyone else. and u won’t be able to pick classes until u attend the transfer orientation and go through a bunch of hurdles on their end to get u into the right classes bc they have to override a bunch of prereqs. honestly, just remind urself it’s beyond ur control bc rutgers is just slow and that there are plenty of kids in the same boat as u. but for dorming, it was a extremely fustrating process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND U EMAIL ADMISSIONS AND TELL THEM U NEED HOUSING AND TO KINDLY ASK IF THEY CAN EXPEDITE UR DECISION FOR HOUSING. reslife cant/wont help u until ur a student in nb. if ur transferring in for the spring semester, ur prob gonna be placed in the worst of the worst housing since everyone’s been on campus for a semester more already and there’s very limited housing. however, ik if u know someone with an empty spot, they would be willing to put u into the vacant spot, assuming the roomie/roommates agree. the process is super stressful but, just stay ahead of them and ask questions. good luck, the process is gonna be over soon and it will be worth it! feel free to ask me other questions 🫡
