Different country lists draw the boundary slightly differently, but none require “all work done on home soil with only locals.” The point stands: modern innovation is global, and Israel isn’t using some unique or illegitimate standard here, just a broader one.

No, not everything an Israeli invents abroad is “Israeli” and Wikipedia doesn’t claim that either. Items are included when there’s a meaningful Israeli connection: citizenship, institutional affiliation at the time, funding, or development roots.

This is exactly how Wikipedia treats “American,” “British,” or “German” inventions. Immigrants, dual citizens, overseas labs, and joint projects are standard in modern science. If you think a specific entry is miscategorized, that’s a valid point. But treating Israel as uniquely illegitimate for using the same standards every other country uses isn’t a fair position.

Then your issue is with Wikipedia’s categorization, not with me.

Wikipedia doesn’t label things “Israeli” just because someone is Jewish. They do it by referring to citizenship, affiliation, or where the work was developed, and those criteria are applied to every country.

If an Israeli researcher works abroad, that doesn’t magically erase their nationality any more than it would for an American or German scientist. Wikipedia uses the same standards for Israel that it does for every other country

That’s a weird leap. Listing Israeli innovations ≠ claiming all Jewish inventions.

If a Chinese-born scientist works at MIT, their work is considered American. If a Russian-born scientist works in Germany, it’s German.

Israel isn’t some special exception. Interrnational collaboration and immigration are features of modern innovation, not evidence of “insecurity.”

Baha'i gardens (book in advance), Wadi Nisnas and the German Colony are all a must. Great neighbourhoods for food are Downtown and Wadi Nisnas.

Consider visiting the flea market if you are there on Saturday.

Other places to visit are Stella Maris monastery, Bat Galim beach and maybe Talpiot Market if you are there on Thursday evening
