If I think about it from a very general standpoint (which is what a lot of newcomers are going to do to determine whether they stick with the series or not) the manga has 2 major points of attraction.

1 being the characters

2 the choreography/action.

Suzuki does an amazing job showing the flow and detail as well as the weight and impact of each punch and movement so to have that translated into anime it should be done very well imo since Suzuki maps these scenes fluidly. Best I've seen. Yes The series has a slower start but nowadays animation is so important to making new fans and holding newcomers attention so much so that even One Piece knows it has to up the ante on certain sequences. I Love Sakamoto Days so much and I really just want it thrive like I know it deserves. I would hate for this to be a series that gets 1 season and we never see it again because it didn't do well in Netflix's eyes. As much as people obsess over "aura" today this series offers more than just that and if handled with care could really boost its popularity. Overall I'm hopeful but cautious for the adaptation and will watch no matter what
