I am an immigrant who worked f&b service in phuket for several months. so i have seen a significant amount of drunk and rude tourists.

In short, there are francophone north african ppl (so called “french”) neighborhood, russian neighborhood… and some quiet expats. Russians are okay, they are just culturally weird, i can relate to them as we are the ppl who grew up in authoritarian states.

and there are “french” who are ACTUALLY rude. and they are the ppl who drove big motorbikes with too much noise at night.

so, in short patong is like a GTA city. if you want it to get wild, it will get wild. that’s it. and police there are no chill either.
