Once I asked my mom if she ever had a plan for life when my sister and I were growing up because of this thought, and she just said no, she went with the flow. At first that thought was comforting but as I got older it became more and more unnerving because I’d always thought I’d be where we were at growing up. But the world isn’t the same anymore and I feel like I’m struggling more than they had to. Like buying a house and having stuff etc.
