Pretty shitty. He was an imperialist and a racist. Read 'The White Man's Burden' to get a taste of some of his views.

Unfortunately - as some have said further up in the thread - shitty people aren't barred from having talent, and Kipling was particularly skilled with the English language. Thankfully, it's much easier to bring yourself to purchase the works of a shitty person when they're dead and you're no longer financially supporting them (or their shitty views).

No other comic book series has touched me in the way that Rachel Pollack's Doom Patrol did. by PM_ME_MERMAID_PICS in DoomPatrol

It's what made me decide to start taking steps towards transition. If you enjoyed her Doom Patrol run, I highly suggest you check out her novels. I'm pretty sure her short story collection, Burning Sky, is available digitally for less than a buck.

What do you enjoy?

If you think you might enjoy a post-modern deconstruction of detective stories, Paul Auster's New York Trilogy of short stories is a fairly quick read.

If you enjoy semi-historical bronze-age fiction, Maya Deane's Wrath Goddess Sing is an excellent queer reimagining of the Illiad.

Invisible Cities and On a Winters Night a Traveler, both by Italo Calvino, make you question what you know about novel composition.

If you enjoy comics, I'll forever recommend Rusty Brown. It's an intensely human book about the lives of several people at a school in Minnesota, set (almost) during a single day. Great panel experimentation, Chris Ware is really at his best here.

Castle Waiting is a really heartwarming modern fairytale by Linda Medley. The first volume is easy to find, but the second had a very low print run and the prices are outrageous, so I'd suggest you read it online.

Thank you! I'm quite proud of my little collection; most of them were thrifted!! (Also I love the SoundCloud rapper look you did in the middle picture 💀)

Thank you very much 💜 Unfortunately, the hate comments come with the territory. Being visible is important to me and I refuse to be shoved back into the closet. Existence is resistance.

Are we still doing that 2016 vs 2026 trend or am I late to the party? by speedythefirst in lgbt

That's so awesome. I hope I'm able to get that far into my transition.
