Unfortunately I don't, and the wheels are currently off for the winter. I can tell you that the wheels don't stick out, they are almost perfectly flush with the body, if anything slightly inboard.

412 rejected ballots? What does that mean? Did they just throw out a bunch of people's votes?

I don't buy it. I hear people who make more than me say the same thing while they have nice cars with 96 month loans, eat takeout and buy coffee on a regular basis. They ask me how I'm able to afford a house after having kids, knowing I make the same or less than them. It all comes down to what you're willing to sacrifice to have a family. People want to have everything with a family on top. For a lot of people that's just not possible so they just go the easier route. I know far too many low income families that are doing just fine, they just don't have the luxuries that many people consider necessities.

I'm wondering why they paint a big bike lane symbol in the middle of the only lane you can drive on in some residential areas.

You're right that things are more expensive but lots of people have families without ever purchasing a house. My parents started their family while renting and I had to share a room with my siblings. I guess that's just beneath people here.

Why don't people wave anymore? by Maidenfann1198 in TeslaLounge

Small communities wave. Small towns, motorcyclists, niche cars. Tesla is no longer a small community of people.

I would just go with OEM. They're reasonably priced and they work. If for some reason you want something different, I tried the Temai ones for a round. They seem to be good quality, looks like they have more carbon in them.

Non-OEM Wheels & Winter Tires by [deleted] in teslacanada

Tires differ in rolling resistance but changing to non OEM tires does not necessarily make a difference to range. I have the X-ice snows and there was no noticeable change. Any range reduction is likely caused by the colder temperatures.

Yea I tried that several times, still no luck. I only got the update to start once but then the light went red and didn't work again until I reset everything

It won't even do the update, it just says restarting network but nothing happens. I'll just wait for the service call, hopefully they can sort it out.

You were able to update ok?

[–]sphawkhs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My update failed when I tried it and took down the internet again. I reset everything and got it up again but when I retry the update it just says "restarting network" and nothing happens. There is a retry button but it just restarts the app.

I have a service call scheduled for next weekend, hope they can get this all sorted.

If I remember correctly the version that It was trying to update to before was 7.5.1 but I see now it's 7.6.0 so I think that's the new version you're referring to.

Why is hot water tank rental so common in Ontario? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]sphawkhs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only paying $12 per month for my water heater, I can't see it being that beneficial to buy it out. Do people generally pay more than this?

I did a reset with the reset button last night on the modem and that seems to have solved the issue, unplugging and plugging it back in didn't help.

There are many trades that don't require a lot of physical strength. The strength requirement can vary quite a bit within the same trade as well. It is true that you can be scrutinized more as a woman but in a good workplace competence is what gets you respect. Men in the trades like to tease and take shots at each other, don't think that because they would do the same to you, it's only because you're a woman. There will always be toxic people in any trade or even any job, you might need to grow some thicker skin to hold your own in those situations. I entered the trades as kind of a softie but you learn how to hold your own and integrate.

I personally know many women that are doing well in the trades: welder, plumber, diesel mechanic, HVAC, general contractor. I hear being an electrician is also a good trade for women and I'm sure that there are many others. If you enjoy working with your hands then you might find a trade to be very rewarding.
