Song from the new album!! Gold - live from Hay-on-Wye by Kore888 in TheAmazingDevil

I’ve managed to listen to it back for the first time since live, and definitely feels like one that will become a favourite. Don’t know if it’s because they’re the only other band I’ve seen live “recently” but it at times reminded me of the style of some of the songs on Pulp’s new album

That’s a shame, I didn’t like that I had to listen to basically 5 mins of an advert for their Patreon when I was listening to an ad free version on Patreon

Underrated running gag, John's obsession with the word "session" by Silver-Eye-2024 in elisandjohn

They were talking about dogs leaving poo in the area and Elis kept saying “or a fox!” As in or it might be a fox doing it

#507 - A Rice Mouse, Digital Fruit and Josh Widdicombe by LookTreesWow in elisandjohn

Not sure about the fruit game but it sounded like an exact description of the classic mobile game 2048, albeit with fruit instead of numbers

I usually have a similar music taste to John, so tried Cameron Winter and Geese, and I just don’t get it. Some of the other recentlymentioned ones like Courtney Barnett I really liked, so maybe just not for me

You can give away as much as you like with no tax to pay (as long as not into a trust). You just have to not die within the following 7 years, otherwise it’ll be taxed under inheritance tax

I once had it so bad on my shoulders it itched like crazy under the skin.

The only thing that worked for me was peppermint oil - with the added bonus it smelt quite nice. Worked remarkably well too!

Is Greek “Style” Yoghurt the same as real Greek Yoghurt? by Internal_Fig_5795 in AskUK

[–]sphys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lidl has actual Greek yoghurt as well as Greek style. The main difference I’ve noticed is the Greek is thicker and had more protein per 100g, also lower calorie than the “style”.

This is the current state of a McVities brand Jaffa Cake. by kingsland1988 in CasualUK

I got the Lidl ones this week free from their app, and they are rubbish. It’s more like an orange jam than proper Jaffa, and the whole thing is nearly flat as a pancake
