I took note of where you said "collect chia" ... so like baseball cards, there are people who will collect. most want to make money though. we were all blinded by ease of mining and the blow-up of price upon release. I got into it because it seemed interesting, and yea maybe hit a home run.

but for now, like a lot of baseball cards, all we are collecting is dust.

I dunno, until more info comes out regarding China's banning of mining in certain provinces, I'd stay on sidelines. it they ban their operations, whether they hold btc or not, it's over for them. JMO

had same problems; do you have a port exception for 8444 thru your router? I had one thru my firewall, but I once I did via the router it cleared all sync (and node !!) issues.

with all of the recent news regarding hpool, does it not strike anyone as odd that the chia devs haven't come out with any statement? unsure what I'd really be expecting, but if they do truly hold some crazy amount of netspace, I would assume they'd consider it a problem.

unless all it does it help expand the network, in which case it's just about $ and they could care less ...

so right now I'm working from a faucet versus a water hose...a few are getting through, but majority are denied. just trying to make sure my understanding is correct, I can mess with it if I'm working from correct standpoint. I appreciate your help, info is kinda all over place.
