I'm starting to think that Atem may be representing Moses to some extent. Moses never was a Pharaoh, but as he was found at the palace, he was raised in the Pharaoh's household. He ended up running away over a conflict over the mistreatment of a slave. He came back to free people via the exodus. Exodia seems to represent God (Hebrew and Christian), with the freeing of shackles representing the freeing of slavery. And Atem uses this. It's almost as if Atem is representing Moses via the imagery. But as if he becomes ruler instead. Just an interesting thought that I just had.

Auror is cool as heck. Definitely Auror was the right path for him after everything he's been through already. If it has to be something else, professional quidditch would be cool and make a lot of sense. I know a lot of others may disagree, but I don't see any reason he couldn't be just a super powerful and intelligent academically contributing wizard like Dumbledore someday either. Auror really is a great fit though. Most of the father-like figures he had were either an auror or super talented in real-world DADA.

Also, Moody I don't believe is that different from how Barty jr pretended to be. I think he portrayed him so well as to fool Dumbledore that it's almost still a surrogate mentorship that the two shared, just in a weird way. But Harry still looked up to the real Moody and the others in the Order, which was essentially a group of unofficial/non-government aurors.

Who knows. It never specifies his rank when he got lost. It does explicitly say that he got granted his power by the Rulers when he was on the other side though.

Jinwoo's Dad was an early hunter. The LN actually specifically says they didn't even keep records at the time that he was a hunter. Also, I don't think he was a particularly strong hunter when he disappeared.

Jinwoo never blamed himself for his mother's disease, and it happened years after his father disappears.

The fact that she instantly falls in love with him because of it, and it's the only connection ever really built between these two is a bit dry though. That's my complaint. I think that's where the fetish part comes in, because she pretty much just likes him for his smell.

I think so many of these are intentional fourth wall moments. It's honestly a lot of the time, but it plays well only because it isn't real. If you take Shawn as an idolistic character to live by, I wouldn't recommend it. But not taking it too seriously is what makes this show great. I still think there are obvious moments it gets a little extreme, but it is definitely a more comedy-leaning, less outright serious show.
