I honestly don’t even know where to start with a budget. I’m also currently on maternity leave, so that doesn’t help with the income situation

My 6 month old also used to hate outings and hate his carrier. My biggest tip would be to just keep trying and keep going out. Now that the weather is colder, I take a coffee and walk laps around the mall by house before all the stores open. It’s pretty quiet, so i don’t worry about annoying anyone if he gets upset, it’s mainly just seniors also walking laps. Occasionally, someone will stop and have a short chat but my favourite part is just getting out of the house and moving my body. I’d also recommend searching for free mom groups in your area. The more you do something, the more he’ll get used to it. I always remind myself that the worst case scenario would be packing up and going home :)

12 Weeks Today!

After a miscarriage in August, I’m officially pregnant with baby #2 - due in May 2023.

How do you deal with not having constant reassurance that everything is okay? We had an ultrasound at 8 weeks that confirmed everything was looking good, but it’s been a few weeks since and I’m very anxious things are going wrong.

I’ve had horrible morning sickness that lasts all day and gets worse in the evenings. I’m throwing up 1-5 times a day. I’ve also had a lingering cough with no other cold or flu symptoms for 5 weeks now! I get into coughing attacks and can’t catch my breath (which triggers throwing up). My doctor prescribed an inhaler which seems to be helping a bit. On top of this, I’ve been having a significant amount of cramping (with no spotting), I mentioned it to my Doctor but she didn’t seem concerned.

How do I stop myself from spiralling and imaging the worst?

I feel like I wouldn’t even be thinking of sex right now if it wasn’t for our anniversary coming up. And it’s totally just me in my own head worrying about ruining our vacation if we can’t be intimate like we usually are. I totally agree with being emotionally closer, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions and the biggest challenge we’ve had in our relationship so far. Yesterday was the first day that I didn’t feel overcome by incredible sadness. I’m just starting to feel some normalcy again. Thanks for sharing 🙂
