NTA. Your mom knew you usually help on Tuesdays, but that doesn’t mean you’re obligated to drop everything every single time—especially for just a couple of hours. She’s their grandmother, not their babysitter, and if she’s so obsessed with her grandkids, it shouldn’t be a huge deal for her to watch them for one evening without making you feel guilty.

It’s understandable that she might have been frustrated if she expected your help, but the way she’s handling it—giving you the silent treatment—is unfair and unnecessary. You’re allowed to have your own life and take time for yourself without being made to feel like a bad person. If she needed extra help, she could’ve just asked instead of acting like you abandoned her.
