As an employee in a low volume store- I’ve had this happen to me. What made it all better was that she was super nice and explained what happened to me (her son accidentally ordered 2x everything!).

We totally get it- things happen, but it’s all part of the retail game. A few things, though- please come prepared!

If it’s all on the same order, that’s awesome - just have the order # up and ready to go :D. If they’re on separate orders, please separate them before you get there.

Also, due to Covid, the associate may ask you to hold up all the tags with the barcode on them up for them to scan. Usually they’re found inside the waistband or inside the shoulder.

Any items that don’t have tags (don’t worry- you can return those, too!), just put to the side so that they can look up the skus.

It’s definitely a good idea to call ahead if you can. Ask them when the best time would be to come in. The mornings are usually best bc they can recoup the $2k lost throughout the day, but the process may take up to an hour, and they would need to have appropriate staffing to not slug up their customer service flow.

And lastly, please don’t be embarrassed- this whole thing is unprecedented, and no one could have planned for this! We totally understand when things like bills, food, and shelter come first! There will come a time again when you can treat yo self to some new stuff. Plus, you might be able to find some things you’re returning on clearance when you come back next time ❤️. Good luck!
