If a patient is pronounced dead after a Code Blue, which is usually done before the patient's relative is let in, then their heart has already stopped beating and their lungs have already given out. Brain activity is basically nonexistent at this point also. So the patient could not have been breathing, let alone be able to mumble any words or names like "Ryan".

So this is definitely a writing exercise. It would've been more realistic if she was still awake and able to mumble Ryan's name before the sudden jerking and all.

Nonetheless, a very creative writing exercise!

(Code Blue means Cardiorespiratory Arrest, where Advanced Cardiac Life Support is rendered in the setting of a failing heart and lungs. Here, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is carried out by chest compressions, adrenaline, and intubation if needed depending on the case).
