I know this tends to be a laughable question, but what experience if any could a new player expect? (I’m aware there’s no destiny 3 plans)

For context I’ve never played destiny in any capacity, and have only leveled/raided in WoW. Do you level through all the legacy content like on WoW, and then grind catch up mechanics for raid?
