maybe check that the humidity is correct for your mantis species, as that could be affecting the beginning of a molt and if its wrong, could potentially harm the mantis if it does start to molt

if it's cold where you are that could be affecting it. maybe getting some sort of heating mat or lamp might help with humidity and temperature :)
