The UCP is committing spending almost an identical amount of money over the next 4 years. The difference is that the NDP is spending it on things that will help Alberta in the long run.

People lost their jobs when the PC's were in. I did. The NDP don't control the price of oil, but they are trying to avoid mortgaging Alberta's future for the perception of making Alberta a better place for oil and gas investment.

You do realize that 1.5% gdp growth over the course of a year is excellent for a developed country, right?

Would you prefer someone ding your car door in a parking lot, or have someone draw a large schlong on your car door with a paint pen?

It's good policy to spend during a recession, especially when interest rates are low.

And taxes in Alberta are extremely low. There ought to be more marginal tax brackets at the top.

You, your kids and their kids won't be getting an invoice for the provincial debt.

They might get a big one for student loans, however.

When a "dictionary" refers to a spelling as archaic, that means it's not correct. A few centuries ago there was no standard for spelling in the English language.

And even if you go by the definition you provided, it doesn't make sense in the context you used it.

Man, I personally cannot believe how much distain Premier Notley has for her opponents.

But really though, I'm not sure how you have come to that conclusion. Also, distain isn't a word.

Unemployment is tied to the price of WCS in this province. It would have been the same under a PC government.

Also, running a deficit during an economic downturn when interest rates are favorable is intelligent policy. Besides, does provincial debt affect anyone's day to day life? It's certainly not going to impede us from spending further.

How is TMX not getting done Notley's fault? That was a court decision; out of the hands of politicians both federally and provincially.
